I actually enjoyed watching a very entertaining match there. I know Dobra commited some fouls, but boy does he cause teams problems too

...and exactly what a friendly is for! What is the point of a game with little resting on it (pride apart) if you don't learn something from it.

Nice to get to a game tonight.

Holy had a shocker of a game!

Dobra was the best player on the pitch, constantly beating people - very lively, end product needs work but he was a standout for me.

Lovely fee kick from Burns but he was actually very poor otherwise, didn’t get a long run out but I felt he didn’t really make himself available or try and good runs etc.

I think we missed some experience and leadership tonight, Evans was a miss for example. Also we were fairly clinical which is good but we didn’t create enough or control the game as much as I’d have liked. Colchester looked ok and moved the all around fairly well at times.

We seemed a bit better at the end once the loss was on the cards though, so there was a little more desire to get something from the game.

Agree with this totally

My view from what was seen from stream.

We missed good part of the first half do to the hamsters not running quick enough on the Colchester wheel for electric

I do feel it was a good run out, it's obvious that Holy is just as Sh*te as last season. I feel he could of, should of gotten to the ball first for the second goal Colchester scored. 3rd goal was like watching keystone cops from yester year

Droba showed why back in first team squad. I have to say even Jacskon looked sharped for how little he played

Holes in defence though, but we do look more of a side than last season

Went to view game highlights on Kings of Anglia, they showed only one goal, the rest was build-up and commentary. Took in a read of game report on a rival website and post-game reaction from a handful of fans, the obligatory complaints and issues of discontent but personally wished could have been there to see it. So some of our players didn't perform, don't think anyone could have envisaged six goals before the game went ahead.

All three opposition goals were of former players with us ? That's something you don't get every week but to encapsulate it's only a pre-season exhibition, you can never read too much into contests of this nature. Holy got considerable abuse I have read but only been with us a relatively short time, guess being of a substantial size is no guarantee that goals won't get past you.

Credit to Col U, have received an email saying they are refunding £5 because of technical issues last night. Fair play to them.

That’s pretty decent TBF.

I was a bit cheesed off at the time because they were seriously charging a lot for a friendly and Martian commentary wasn’t part of the deal.

Yes, quite decent really of Colchester

Mind you maybe the Martian commentary was more listenable to what heard after they corrected the fault

Though yes, credit to CUFC for the £5 refund
