Unfortunately I think we’ll lose. I’m normally very positive but after watching the Bolton game, I just think it will take time to get right. I think we’ll get there but it’s going to be game by game improvement and it’ll take time to get where we want to be.

On the line up, personally I hope Cook doesn’t chop and change too much from the Bolton game. On reflection, Walton didn’t really F up, he was trying to work with a back four having a nightmare in front of him on his debut. And that back four need to redeem themselves! In mid, I think Evans will play although he was very disappointing last week. When Morsy gets in we’ll definitely see a step up in terms of our ability to hold and control games but until then can’t see Carroll doing more than Harper. Up top, Fraser should come in if he’s fit and maybe Norwood will see some action.

Lincoln 3 - Town 2

WALK ON, WALK ON, WITH HOPE IN YOUR HEART, AND YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE.

Obviously the Liverpool anthem, but I think us Ipswich fans can relate to those lyrics at the moment. Surely we all need & deserve a bit of success.

TOP OF THE LEAGUE AT PORTMAN ROAD, TOP OF THE LEAGUE AT PORTMAN ROAD.

When was the last time we sang that???
Only a year ago. And the year before that. Great start twice, until we found out how crap we were.

Cookie’s doing it in reverse. sh*t start, barnstorming finish.

Stick with it however painful it is.
Well the stands weren’t exactly full were they? Sure we achieved that status temporarily, but it wasn’t exactly rejoicing was it. Not really impressed with you poo pooing my post to be honest. If you don’t like what I say, shut the f*ck up!!!
No idea where that came from. :D

Just making the point we have been top of the table twice and our seasons fizzled out badly. Might work out the opposite even if it looks pretty miserable ATM.

Paul Cook - "I’m not being disrespectful to Lincoln but it’s nearly irrelevant who we’re playing at the minute because we are not a team yet. We just play as a group of individuals that have been put together."

And this was always going to be the case. Some of us saw this a mile off pre-season, but unfortunately the penny has only just dropped for the man himself.

But COYBs!!

That's a little disconcerting for him to say at this stage, whatever the motive! If he's looking for excuses and asking for time and patience before the match has even begun... that's not good (imo)

Holy’s sub so I guess Walton is injured. Can you believe we’re going to have 3 different GK’s in 3 games in a week. That doesn’t happen too often.

I think KVY was expected to be dropped. He’s looked poor.

I’ll say before the ko now , I’m really not sure about our GK today. For me, He’s like a rabbit caught in the headlights around our box .

I must admit Mike, I was same as you with Celina.

Not because don't rate him but just because at the time prefer a more defensive and leader midfielder. Still feel we lack leaders in the team, but happy to see Celina do well. Like all here wanting to see Ipswich do well

Hoping players now step next ladder forward and win !!

Do they not book players for going down too easily like diving ?

I thought the same thing, but Celinas been doing that all half. Needs to adapt…. but he needs to toughen up and stay on his feet. Celina had some nice touches, but not sure he’s a L1 player.

I’ll be honest, even though I think we marginally deserve this … I’m not that comfortable. Just waiting for us to f*ck this up.

We look class at times with the movement, but we look a bit weak.

Thought Burns worked really hard that half. Maybe we got a bit of luck because Bonne looked like he pushed the defender for the goal. Who cares… great cross… great finish.

Bit concerned whether the referee will crumble a little with the home support

He really seemed to get the bird at half time

Just listening, it again sounds like we are on the back foot.

I’ve had a positive feeling about this game all day especially after seeing the team line up. Struggling to follow the game but great to see us one up at half time albeit not too comfortable by all accounts. It would be so good to hang and take 3 unexpected points home which would be great for team morale and confidence.

Individually we have some very good players but collectively they’re not yet a team but don’t give up because they will be sometime soon and when they click this will start to be fun.
