If that’s not bad enough a second name linked is Mike Ashley.

Evans needs to divorce himself completely from ever again taking "control" of a soccer club. All right he might have success within other business enterprises but this is one avenue he can never hope to succeed. I view him as a leech nothing more. Sucked the lifeblood out of here and set the club name back several years. Yes Yes he put some money in at one time and keep the club above water / perhaps respectable, but can't look beyond the amount of debt he ran up, must have tripled by the time he left this year and point he came in. Add to that hardly ever paying out on new players. People can include their list of positives and defense to the name, however getting rid at long last was the best bit of business we did for many years and then some.

Don't think Derby will have him, if they got any sense they'll realize the hopelessness of the situation and steer well clear. Ashley is another figure of enmity and ridicule they have to avoid. God forbid they get the damn pair of them as co-owners but somehow seems safe enough.

If true, Evan's would be silly to invest in a football club again. Surely he's learned from past mistakes? :astroll:

For YEARS fans have spoke about the “ipswich luck”, and how it sucks. Wouldn't it just be typical that Mevans & Derby go to the EPL. 🤦‍♂️

It might very well be that he has Number 9. This may be just what Derby need to get their operations running at a decent cost and prepare for selling to a larger investor later.

I can see this working for all sides.

Derby's 1st manager would surely be RK
If ME takes over. 🙄

Mick is on a slippery slope at Cardiff. Can’t see that ending well there. Could be an ideal job at Derby for Mick to do a rescue job whilst expectation levels are very low.

Still amazed that ME would want to be an owner again. He was crap at it.

Yes. That’ll be a real head scratcher for most people I think.

Derby lodge appeal against the 12 point deduction, no chance IMO.

Still better than a murderous Saudi regime.
Also from business perspective may make perfect sense.
