As Zimbabwe have qualified for the African Nations Cup there is every chance we could lose him for up to 6 weeks come January if QPR don’t recall him.

Better he gets recalled then really, pointless keeping him if he's missing for a month and a half, send him back and sign another striker, harsh but probably the right thing to do.

With a bit of luck perhaps he will have a stinker if he plays in the World Cup qualifiers and they won’t consider him for the African Nations Cup.

The one I'm really concerned about is Morsy. Although he wasn't picked for their recent squad If Egypt do decide to call him up for the tournament in January that would be a real blow for us at a crucial time of the season. Imo he is the one player we would struggle to replace.

I agree, at this level he is a cut above anything, I wish we could refuse players getting called up.

Looks likely Bonne will be available for the Oxford game according to EADT. Reason cited is Covid restrictions.

Me too, he’s one we’re really going to struggle to replace. Got both the physicality and keeps things ticking. Don’t think we’ve had that sort of player since Jim Magilton.

If Ashton and his recruitment team are looking for players, then look out for a similar player.

1000% - he is different class and runs the show, no doubt at all he is our most important player and the one we don’t really have any alternative to. He makes the whole squad tick and is a real leader - so glad we signed him and it wasn’t a loan. Bonne is amazing but we do have Piggot and we have plenty of others who can score for us.
