I suspect it’ll be a totally different 11 play Oldham in the replay now, because 4 days later we are playing Sunderland away in the league, and now seems to be the perfect time to play them, so would expect he’d play the stronger 11 against the Mackems.

I think today the team just subliminally took their collective foot of the gas…. And Oldham by contrast had it collectively pushed to the floor. Very complacent by our lot IMO. I doubt they’d have turned in that performance had it been against better opposition.

It’ll definitely be a much changed side on Tuesday vs Colchester too, ( Cook more or less said that in his post match interview tonight).

Not going to f*ck around, only got the score within the last hour. Gave game a miss and put time to better use. Did truly believe they (Oldham) would win today even before play was underway. So what if they're a division below and we have done well in our own league, every fan here knows damn well Cup competition is sh*t to us, would not have been surprised one bit had they taken the game without need of a second chance.

Applaud Cook for fielding a strong team and going for the win but seems some of the players out there weren't reading from the same hymn sheet. Reports suggest the team did all right for spells and reverted to instances too commom before. If Oldham were value for the draw then more power to them, came here many wouldn't have given them a chance particularly with the line-up we provided, but appears they showed character and determination to take it to replay stage. (What no extra time and penalties this season, must have changed the goddamn rules again)

They could have won it too if not missed a penalty ? Might have generated some excitement at one point or another but made the right choice in staying away. Tired of the reiteration but one last time to anybody under the age of 35 you're unlikely to know or feel what getting to the latter stages of this here competition represents.

I actually wish Oldham had won yesterday. We don’t need a cup run thus season with long distance to travel for replays .

There’s only one target this season ….

So do I as my bloody daughter has talked me into going to the replay. I’ve warned her it is one of the coldest grounds in the country still don’t think I’ve thawed out from when I went there years ago!
Only plus side is staying a couple of nights so will go into Manchester and visit the National Football Museum as haven’t done it before.

No but I might end up with a artificial leg after frostbite sets in!

If we lose I don’t think we’ll be able to blame the pitch, take a look at this Liz .....
