I'm watching Norwich but as they have just gone two up at Brentford I'm switching to sky sports news and have Suffolk on.

Morsy yellow card, almost heard as frequently as Bonne scores!
Need that second goal, as Oldham have had chances.

A goal up and cruising, should have been 3 then complacent and cocky, Oldham finished the half the stronger. Burns is just superb.

Just seen the updates. Are we trying to lose this? One step forward and two steps back! Come on Town.

Still appears a touch of apathy towards the FA Cup (hardly surprising i guess), just 8,845 in attendance.

Surely Piggott should be getting some minutes in this game?

Totally agree, it seemed the perfect opportunity for him to get some game time

Yeah agreed, keep the defence and midfield the same if you want more game time to practice defensive unity, but need to get Piggott firing, we will likely rely on him at some point and we don't want him pissed off or mega rusty before the time comes.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:45 pmHe should have started IMO.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:40 pmSurely Piggott should be getting some minutes in this game?

Agreed, there will be a time when we need Piggott, such as if Bonne is called up for cup of nations, goes off the boil or even gets recalled.Ricco wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:53 pmYeah agreed, keep the defence and midfield the same if you want more game time to practice defensive unity, but need to get Piggott firing, we will likely rely on him at some point and we don't want him pissed off or mega rusty before the time comes.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:45 pmHe should have started IMO.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:40 pmSurely Piggott should be getting some minutes in this game?

What a disappointing day Town now have a Tuesday replay before the Sunderland game and Norwich win

A full strength squad of big game players perhaps, who seem unable to kill lesser teams off? Sounds like we had the chances to easily win this, but could oh so easily have lost it too!

This is Ipswich Town we're talking about here, I'm surprised not to see the i word on your listAzzurroMark wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:57 pmAgreed, there will be a time when we need Piggott, such as if Bonne is called up for cup of nations, goes off the boil or even gets recalled.

Are we going to fancy an unwanted Tuesday night replay at Oldham? We certainly don't need it!

Mine was the vote for a replay. I just had a bad feeling about this one. Not happy to be proven correct.

NO EXCUSES this time around...
A full strength squad and we were lucky not to lose this with the penalty save.
If we had played a different team fans would have said keep a winning team playing... Did not work this time around.
After the Lord Mayors show come to mind...
Chalk and cheese.

Re: FA Cup - Ipswich Town vs Oldham FC Preview & Matchday Thread
Knew I would jinx it by predicting a win. Back to predicting defeats in future as that seems to work out better.
Can’t even make the excuse of fielding a weakened side today, absolute dreadful performance and far too casual. Think we thought we had the game won after scoring early.
