This world Cup is a pain in the arse and a sham. At least we won't be affected by it.

If Marcu Rashford really believed in helping the underprivileged, he would cone out and say he is not going to Qatar as his principles do not allow it. Sadly, his PR team will not let him I fear. He could make such a huge difference but as with many virtue signallers these days, will choose to make excuses to do the opposite of what he preaches...

Well at least we won’t play in the Papa Johns Trophy next year.

Can’t get excited about this tournament. I actually watched a friendly in Qatar around 2008/2009 between England and Brazil whilst I was working there…. and it was a terrible excuse for a game. Zero atmosphere with fake fans. Obviously, the fans will be flown in and there’s heaps of money thrown at this, but it still amazes me how this tournament got the go ahead, especially after all the corruption charges against FIFA officials. It stinks, but I expect there’ll be a sugar-coating of it all from the media and a fan-fare to say it’s all about bringing football to the world whereas we all know it’s all about greed and corruption.
