Yip… they’re actually not very good but we look like a team that’s not a full strength to me. Thf youngsters look good players but make the wrong decisions, and often give the ball away . We also are missing Morsys drive in the middle big time !

This game was a free hit in respect of winning 2 from 3 in each batch of games, we are still well in the mix

Not sure how we’ve contrived to lose this game today tbh … Sheffield Wednesday really are poor . We’ve just ponsed around with it most of thf game !

Come on Town FFS route one now . Get in their bloody box !!’

I’ve only joined in at 60 mins but not impressed with what zu’ve seen. Too many tippy tappy short passes ending in possession conceded or even simply given away. Hillsborough is a great ground where you should be able to find space but instead of this we’re all bunched up within 10 yards of one another.

Great late opportunity for Woolfie, shame he didn’t have a clue what to do. ☹️

That was the worst slice I’ve seen all day. 🤣

Wednesday playing 5 across the middle looked like they were into snuff out us attacking, and would have been a 0-0 draw but for that tw*t Edmunson's gift, I hope Mckenna gets these liabilities of players sorted and shipped out like Carroll and Edmundson, and stop this pussy footing around playing sideways and backward passing, be a bit more like Man City and Fulham up the tempo and play quick forward passing attacking football, do not let the opposition take control whatsoever constant pressure, and if McKenna's got any real plans he will get this instigated ASAP

Very slow , from us today. We caused them no problems whatsoever, and tbh they didn’t us either . We just have them a goal . They may have two games in hand but based on what insane of them today unless the opposition gift them the goal like we did I can’t see them getting too many points from them .

We move on …. But we need some experience in that midfield and as quick as possible imo

It’s a worry when their keeper doesn’t have a single save to make all afternoon.

To be fair our midfield looked light even before we kicked off.

I'd like to think you're right, but I am deflated after that. There are too many teams above us who would have to fall away badly and the gap to 6th is too wide, for me to feel confident. Also, there are too many teams above and around us with games in hand.

I really thought, at half time, that we would get something from this game. Obviously I know nothing. So maybe you're right and I'm completely wrong. I hope so.

We've just lost our captain and arguably our best midfielder. We had two brand new loanees playing, one on his debut. We all know we have defensive issues...hence the addition of Thompson who will hopefully come good. The next few games may be harder than we thought, and the play offs may be out of reach.

Yes, it will be disappointing if we don't make the play offs. I don't think it's fair to judge KM on whether or not that happens. In fairness, even if we make the play offs will we have enough guile and skill to advance???

In my mind, I don't believe we're the finished product yet. It could very well take another season to fulfill any kind of consistency or success. I do think KM should be given that chance because I believe in his philosophy.

COYB!

Like Sunderland losing 6-0 at Bolton today, Wycombe losing at home to MK Dons or even Wigan dropping 2 points at Cheltenham today. There’s a long way to go with lots of twists and turns along the way.

Six points from our next two games and it will all look on again.

As they are saying on Suffolk radio its the first 6 games of the season I’d what’s really done us . Hardly a surprise given it was a completely new team . I said it would take us most of the season to find our feet …. Changed happen and this remains a transitory season . Let’s see what McKenna can do next season ….. I can see the squad being tweaked over the summer .

…. As for Mathie …. Just bloody shoot him . I hate him !

We mustn't panic, as Andy says, win the next Two and it will all look rosy again and I believe we will. We have a good run of games and this was always going to be the toughest and but for a stupid error we'd have taken a point and we'd all be pretty happy tonight. It's far from a disaster and as Number9 says, captain missing along with our other main Midfielder, Two pretty new players in the team with little or no training time to get to know their teammates, we have to be realistic.

I love your optimism and, normally, I would share it. But let's be realistic.

Sunderland certainly had a bad day, but they lost no ground on us. They would have to drop 13 more points than us for us to catch them. How likely is that in the remaing games?

Both Wycombe and MK Dons are in the top six so one of them was bound to drop points today. Mk Dons extended their points difference over us by three points and Wycombe lost no ground on us. They would have to drop 11 points more than us in the remaining games.

Wigan extended their lead by a point, are 14 points ahead and have 4 games in hand. Good luck with that!

Rotherham? 15 points with 2 games in hand.

Oxford? 8 points with a game in hand. We have an outside chance of catching them. Maybe. The problem there is that they seem to be improving in form.

Then, between us and 6th, we also have Plymouth with 6 points over us and a game in hand. Wednesday with 2 points and two games in hand.

Even Portsmouth, who are 3 points behind us have three games in hand.

I'm not saying it's impossible but I just can't see it this far into the campaign. I would live to be wrong.

McKenna is the best manager we could wish for right now and I think we will go from strength to strength with him. Even so, I am resigned to waiting until next season for us to go up.

March will be the month that decides where our season ends . Win those games then we can be thinking of play offs . I doubt we will unfortunately.

It's alright, we'll win the league by 10pts next year and go in to the championship strong!

You could well be right MF and I will be looking forward to next season with great optimism should it prove to be beyond us this season, I think the top Four is gone, a few teams are fighting for Two places and yes we are big underdogs but win most of our games and we'll do it, its in our hands. Sadly as someone said earlier our season was hashed up in the first 6-8 games this season when Cook and co made a total balls of it.
