This is getting a bit self-indulgent. Fine whilst it was correct, but ought to be a buried thread now imo.
It's the 82pts that's the aim. Once that is not achievable I will stop. You could always self indulge yourself elsewhere and not read the thread noballs.

Looking at our last 3 games..and thinking we could have a easy run in .as Wigan may have been promoted by then .Crewe. relegated .and Charlton safe and nothing to play for .so we may not meet teams .even if they do play a good game..definitely won't be parking the bus like a lot of teams have done..therefore creating more space for our players .so the more wins we Can have from nxt 7 games will tell a lot..

If we’re still in with a chance with 3 games to go…. I’ll bite your hand off for that.

I think a couple of months back, I’d have taken 5pts of top six with 5-6 games to go.

For me, it’s all about momentum. If we can win 3 in a row then it’s game on again. We haven’t won 3 in a row for over a year. We haven’t beat anyone above us apart from Wycombe. Before we get to the last 3 games, we’ll face top sides or other play-off challengers. This month should be the make or break. Next four games are the most important for me.

Not being over confident but in all truth feel we possess the capabilities to beat any opposition now this league can offer. But it'll take all players focus and reading from the same song sheet to be able to occur. Not to reiterate but if only some select names could finish chances and play to their full potential, would be all too easy to envisage a top six position by final game.

One last time certain damage was done earlier in the season that where repairs were undertaken a little too late to reverse a (then) deteriorating situation. Regrettably that's the scenario that should - or will - see us miss out. Kind of relief when it's out of our hands then the issue needs no further mention or addressing old ground.

We’d have won that game had we not had the injuries we have now. They were scared to death of us tbh.

I5 should have been 3-0 before Morsy and Jackson went off.

Need new strikers next season. An Absolute must.

We just can't win more than 2 in a row. Unfortunately that is costing us.

I'm not sure about that, Liz, although initially I agreed that strikers was our problem.

But yesterday I saw a different problem, and thinking about it on the way home I now think that the strikers being starved of decent service is more of the problem.

How many corners do we get lately? Loads. Why? Because we can't cross the ball properly, more often than not our crosses hit the first man and rebound off for a corner. How many times have we scored from a corner? Hardly any. Why? Because we can't put in a decent cross with pace and positioning. So I think it's more to do with the crossers of the ball (Burns, Chaplin, Donacien, Thompson) than the striking. Get some decent balls in and we will score more.

They did, Liz, but we're currently 6 points off which will turn to 8 points off if Sheff W win their game in hand. And Portsmouth could overtake us if they win their game in hand. Of course, it's never over until it's over - but it's certainly not looking likely now.

We simply have to win 7 games, maybe not so simple

yep - it IS that simple, Mike. All we have to do in each of the last 8 games is to score more than the opposition. Which is why I'm hoping that this week the squad is concentrating practice on delivery from crosses and dead-ball - start getting that right and we just might do it.

It will be difficult to beat Oxford with our current injuries. They tend to score a lot of goals, and they'll have home advantage. Hopefully Burgess will have a brilliant match and our defensive dominance will continue, but I don't think that will be the case. Hope I'm wrong of course, but a loss or even a draw with other results going against us could well be the final nail for this season.
