It’s another clean sheet. We knew it wouldn’t be easy cleaning up Cook’s mess. If not this season, promotion will beckon under the helm of KM. Chin up Ipswich!

The game should have been won in the first half. For all those decent performances in the first 45 mins there were quite a few ragged performances in the second and the longer the game went on the more likely it looked like a 0-0 outcome.

Game of 2 halves. sh*te secomd half, really don't understand Carroll in the team, never rated him and one good half is all he's had in a town shirt. Also Piggot, really not the answer. Feel for Aluko, always puts in a solid performance, but seems not to be trusted by mckenna. With results going our way, really needed those extra 2 points tonight. Still games to go but it's a big loss

Funking piggott, took the ball off celina!
Spot on, I just don't rate Piggot, Maybe can argue not being played often, so no confidence but come on he has to be aware of what's around him

It's not all bad news, still only four pts off the play offs

Very frustrating and very annoying. We seemed so sloppy in our play. Even in first half which we were so superior we didn't seem to have has much calmness as usual. Burns chance fine example.

Couldn't watch that other team much, Football is meant to be entertaining, how they can defend those time wasting tactics and the Ref allowed it. Okay he didn't get any major decision wrong but he should of been stricter on the time wasting

Yep, that's how I'm seeing it. Could be crucial. Didn't really expect to hammer them but 100% expected the win. :astroll:

If we’re honest I think many of us expected a draw even if it wasn’t what we wanted. It just goes to show how important it is to score early especially when you dominate the game.

Totally with you Marko, maybe it's because we have done so well since Kieran joined us we are down. Still would of taken this position 11 games ago though

Carroll and Thompson should not play again in my view. ALUKO, BAKINSON, EVANS always before Carroll and KVY or PENNY before Thompson.

That's it 0-0 You could see from the Cheltenham line up Fooking 5 across the midfield they were here for a draw, what it needed was some heavyweight battering ram-like Simpson for a change in the striker line up, I can see what they're saying when it's a learning curve for K Mc, putting Carroll in the line up was a big mistake, Aluko should be there from the start, with Celina, Morsy & Evans, I just can't see us making the playoffs with our front line

Oh yes, definitely S&J and no doubt Keiron will be every bit as frustrated as the fans......., hopefully they all have decent training sessions leading up to the Internatiozaaaale Morecambe game.

It looks like we only chasing two places now ..and they have 1 and 2 games in hand ..this is where we should have claimed all points tonight against a pub team .we still have 12 games to go ..this is where these games have to be looked at in two groups of 6 ...after the next 6 games we need to be at the very least filling 6th spot and in the last 5 games we have to move 4 points above the cut off point so as not to be in squeaky bum time goin in to last game.or jst needing a point to cement the last place. It will be auful to miss out by a pint or two regretting all the missed chances tonight

You were correct about Bolton, Hallam. Doing a "Blackpool" from last season. Sneaking up.

Really hope Evans is okay for Saturday, Carroll doesn't seem to have a killer pass in him

A couple of his second half passes nearly killed town!

It’s really important to stick behind KM. If we lose him to a Championship team, we’ll truly be f*cked.

Very frustrating tonight to say the least. I think Hallam summed it up well a few days ago when she said that. 'We never win when we really NEED to'. Carroll is hopeless and has never had a good game for us. He is a weak link. The strikers are misfiring but we have to go with them as we have no other options. Morsey can be great but he is also very immobile at times. Having said all of that, we remain in touch so all to play for. It just feels like 2 points lost tonight.

It is 2 pts dropped. We have to keep faith, we have try and pick the bones out of it and nothing really has changed other than a game less. Truth is though however we look at it it is 2 pts dropped

The worst news tonight marko is that Evans will be out for several games. I’d suggest that’s us done for the season now because that midfield is much weaker without the Morsy: Evans combination . The replacements simply don’t come anywhere near tbh , and I think this will potentially just tip the scales “ against” now. We’ll see….

No wonder we never achieve any kind of success with the comments I’m reading. We create our own karma…you’re all fuckin hard to please! Look at our record since KM took over. Stop whining, please! Am I the only one who sees silver linings?! f*ck me, I’m glad you’re not my boss. :astroll:

Look how things can change win nxt week..and a team above us loose we then only 1 point away from 6 th place . Not 6 points not 10 points ..but 1 point..and 33 points still to play for afrr that ..if we were asked at our lowest point of the season would we take that.....heck we bite your hand off .as they say..not over till the fat lady sings ..keep the faith ..only thing I worry about is injury to key players. But let's not go there ..Wembley still in our sights ..make it happen

I see it as two points lost and little more. You'd be expecting to beat this caliber of opponent at Portman Road and we came up short. I take into consideration they were never going to play dead and hand us a result and our second half performance may have left a lot to be desired but over the course of 90 minutes we should at least have registered A goal.

21,000 for a midweek clash is commendable, too bad the majority were let down as victory proved evasive. You look for positives to take from it amid a multitude of frustrations and can accept we're a tough team to beat and the defense / Walton, much doesn't get past them now.

Can only hope this setback or however you wish to class it doesn't kick us in the as* at the business end of the season. Just kind of pleased to be involved at all after at some stages since August, we didn't seem to possess a chance in hell of getting anything out of the season.

Its a fair point - just felt a bit low after the high of Saturday to then lose a game we sooooo should have and could have won. Onwards and sideways it seems but I certainly keep the faith and cannot deny we are a better team than before KMc arrived. Its just going to be the usual Ipswich roller coaster I guess!
