You can tell we’re not so good without out best players … it’s just fine lines in games like this snd our injuries give Oxford that little leg up imo

I think it’s safe to say Oxford are the much better team based on the first half hour. Unfortunately we’ve got too many players out of sorts so far which is a shame given the great support we have.

Bakinson back to his old tricks giving the ball away far too much.

I think we’ll do well to get a point out of this game.

I can’t see Pigott coming out for the second half but I guess I could say the same for one or two others too.

As you say Andy too many off form, for me Burns, Donacien, Bakinson and Walton all done ok, Burgess and Woolfy steady enough but the rest !!!

Celina couple of good runs but too quiet and disinterested
Chaplin offered little
Carroll anonymous
Pigott embarrassing
Thompson woeful.

I would get Pigott and Carroll off and get Aluko and Norwood on.

First time this era of McKenna that were second best in possession stats - 49%… No Morsy . No link up play . No physicality in MF, I’m as Bld to keep the ball. Puts more pressure on defence .

Their high pressing is forcing our defence to pump it forward coz no Morsy to pick the ball up .

Pigott - just wtf?? 🤷‍♀️
Get Norwood on second half . Burns doing it all on his own . Absolutely NO threat down the left . Get Thompson off and Penny on .

To be honest Mike both teams cancelled one another out first half. Given results elsewhere we need to win this game more than Oxford although they won’t wasn’t to lose. A draw looks the most likely outcome however the longer the game goes on the more likely it will open up as we’ll need to take a risk and take chances. I just hope that doesn’t lead to more errors and a goal conceded.

This is a game where the managers can make a massive contribution by making the right substitutions and tactical changes.

Yep we have the wind behind us second half but that could mean over hitting the ball. Even worse Walton has the bright sun in his eyes for the next 45 mins.

Sam Morsy needs to be careful not to get sent off.

Much the better side, Morsy just being on the pitch makes a huge difference.
