Chaplin so much better this half, playing really well now. We really have to ditch Pigott and Carroll, its the only thing I don't get with KM

I wouldn’t make anymore changes until 90 mins just in case we pick up an injury.

I wish we wouldn’t keep giving possession away, just keep the ball.

Gut-wrenching. We were seeing the game out so well until the last 2-3 minutes.

We absolutely outplayed them in the second half and were so superior. Gutted

Nobody, a fortuitous corner off Burns, their only real attack of the half

Re: League 1 - Oxford United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Marcus Stewart is saying he thinks it was a fair result as no team completely dominated the gsme . They had first half , we had second. But we are where we are because of the first 6-8 games . Out form since McKenna came in us promotion form. Simple as that …..

Re: League 1 - Oxford United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I disagree to a point, we had a little bit of the first half but we pretty much bossed the whole of the second half, over the ninety minutes I felt we deserved the win, once Morsy came on it was pretty one sided and to be fair that was the best Bonne has been for weeks, I also thought Chaplin was so good second half too which was a massive help, so disappointed but the future is really bright on and off the pitch.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 6:15 pmMarcus Stewart is saying he thinks it was a fair result as no team completely dominated the gsme . Wow, that was a real blow, and when the 3 teams ahead of us all drew, what an opportunity to get back in the hunt. Bad luck Town

Re: League 1 - Oxford United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I think injuries to Jackson, (who’d have thought that!), Morsy, Edmundson, would flag up so clearly we’re our weaknesses are.
Strikers - we need 2 in, (2 out)…this position is definitely our Achilles heel.
Midfield. Another strong, physical, ball winning MF.
Defence. A left back who can get forward and defend.
Strikers .
Pigott….
Think Im of the view now that’s it for Pigott. Despite his undoubted footballing skills, today He looked, slow, had the touch of a rapist ( one of Mike’s descriptions).
Norwood…
Norwood isn’t getting in the team is he. So can only guess that’s him gone in the summer, because NOW is the time he should be really putting it about on the pitch to get the nod. But it’s not happening.
Bonne…..
Has he done enough to get his move here? I’m not sure tbh. But his presence and work rate up front ( when he produces it), is such a big thing for this team. Bath he and Jackson next season would be hard to leave out if they played to their best.
The bottom line is , has McKenna got other targets in mind ? It wouldn’t surprise me …..

Re: League 1 - Oxford United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Oh , I’m not saying I agree with him, coz actually I don’t. Oxford (once we brought on Bonne and Morsy) couldn’t live with us. Like I said last week. These injuries will be the feather that tips those scales against us now in this run in I feel. Shame really….Bluemike wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 6:21 pmI disagree to a point, we had a little bit of the first half but we pretty much bossed the whole of the second half, over the ninety minutes I felt we deserved the win, once Morsy came on it was pretty one sided and to be fair that was the best Bonne has been for weeks, I also thought Chaplin was so good second half too which was a massive help, so disappointed but the future is really bright on and off the pitch.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 6:15 pmMarcus Stewart is saying he thinks it was a fair result as no team completely dominated the gsme .
