So positive ! It will also have a positive effect on the transfer/wage budget for the season ahead.

Does anyone know what our average non season ticket home attendance is each game. Just trying to assess what sort of home attendance we might expect next season. Surely we’ve got to be looking at 20k+ plus away support. That should create a good atmosphere.

…. I guess some of those may well have upgraded from casual support to season ticket holder.

I think Ashton said there was a higher proportion of new , first time ST purchase in the early bird sales, than those renewing ….cant recall the % he said now though….

Edit …

“We're just 36 hours into those season ticket sales and we've sold over 2,000," Ashton said. "And what's really interesting is that within the 2,000 we have sold in a day and a half, 41% are new season ticket sales. That bodes very, very well.” March 22nd 2022.

According to this we are the third cheapest in the division which if true is remarkable and excellent value.

I have to laugh at Pompey . Tbh they appear to have an inferiority complex about us as a club, because they are always holding us up as the “ Big (bad?) Club”. They appear to be always insinuating that we throw money at the game, and have money to burn and are in some way irresponsible with our management, Which is not true . We balance the books now. , and we are picking up players on frees. Yes there’s wages to consider, but they always seem to be playing the “ poor us card” …”we’re the underdogs in this division”… it’s a load of bollox !

That really is amazing for a League One side...I mean, I don't know if there's any other teams in the division generating the same season ticket sales, but my word that's special!

From TWTD:

"Town’s season ticket sales are at their highest level in more than a decade, 2021/22’s figure having ultimately reached 13,800."

So that's more than a 2000 increase from last year's ST sales. Not bad for a side who came 11th in L1. Fans are really buying into the club - time for us to deliver.

As a point of reference, how many were being sold on average the past five years?

I think it’s been around 12k, but I could be wrong.
