VPN

Hey chaps,

If any of you happen to use a VPN via PC what ones do you recommend? Alot seem to try and push you towards a pay upfront model, that is usually a worry - i.e take your money and run if it doesn't deliver then good luck contacting them etc.

Move thread if off topic of course.

I would not use a VPN, period. Any time you route your internet over a vpn your connection speed will be governed by the VPN itself and you will not achieve anything like the speed you are guaranteed by your ISPN. Using a secure http connection will provide you with satisfactory security in mist cases.

Despite claims from certain VPN providers, I have yet to see any VPN achive over 10mbps, and this is a maximum burst and not a mean speed.

If you really feel that you have to use a vpn, the one that comes as part of the McAfee AV suite is as good as I've seen. HTH

I’ve used Express VPN for many years and been very happy with it. I’ve recently let my subscription expire however if/when I need it again I will renew with Express VPN.

You can get a 30 day free trial so try before you buy.
