What a landslide, just the sort of passion and energy we could do with in the mens team.

Couldn't have seen this coming. Let's not compare the mens' and womens' games, but just on entertainment value and spirit of the players and it is right up there for me;

I'll be quick, I didn't even know you or they were playing

I got no issue with Women's "football" and it's a great concept for them to participate in their own World Cup and Euro competition/s. Won't or can't receive the same nauseating saturation coverage of the Men's tournaments but that said, it's a good thing.

Think you play France or Germany in a Final event if win today. It should be a good show.

What a steely determination, and a dogged "they shall not pass" defensive display.

Can’t believe the BBC want to interview people right now . There’s absolute scenes in that stadium - let them soak it up it might happen again !!!

Have to admit I have hardly watched any of the tournament as just not into women’s football. Having said that I wish the ladies good luck in the final and hopefully they can go one step further than the men did last year.

Far more entertaining than some of the International mens games I’ve watched.

Excellent performance, was a tad worried to start with but we settled and played some good stuff. Just loved Russo's cheeky back heel and Kirbys lob goal, we are scoring some beauts. Hemp ran and ran, girl is a dynamo, Daly def made up for the last game, great performance.

Bring on those Frenchies, hope we trounce them (thats if Germany roll over).

It’s written in the stars that it’ll be those bloody Germans isn’t it !! I’d prefer it, if it were the French because I think there’s this mental block whenever any team in any sport comes up against those pesky Germans. Too much history.

I agree Hallam, id prefer the Germans tbh but history puts this little seed in your mind and you suspect the worst. I think the French are the team to beat, strong and quick, think its Diani that worries me the most.

I am sure Sabrina will do her homework and we will be prepared, if we can play like we did last night and the Norway game then I am sure we could provide a shock and win this.

Come on ladies, you can do it.

P.S. what the doody was Wrighty wearing last night, at first I thought he was wearing a dress lol. Not knocking him and different is good.

I thought that was excellent entertainment, passion, skill, athleticism, that game had it all on display. I have thoroughly enjoyed the tournament - what a brilliant showcase for Women's Football.

Both my daughters loved it. However they are half French, so an Eng v France final would be tricky in our house!

So errrrrrrrrrrrrr, 'come on Germany'....?

I thought it was a 'smock' and that any moment he'd whip out an easel and start painting......!?

I’ve just wiki’d the history of previous winners of this tournament which has been played 12 times and Germany appear to have dominated it with 8 wins from the last 10 tournaments, that’s some impressive record.

Posting this purely for the jokey side of the men/women/soccer debate ....., conversation on a building site last Friday between joiner & apprentice.

Apprentice: "You reckon Hearts would beat the England Womens team?"
Joiner dude: "Newtongrange Star would beat the England Womens team."

Found it quite amusing

Nutmegged the keeper! Great improvisation.
The Swedish goalie had a total 'mare. She'll not be wanting to see replays of that 3rd goal.

Great stuff, Mike. Hope you managed to get down the Grassmarket for a few pints. It is indeed a picturesque, fantastic city. For me, home is definitely where the heart lies.
Hopefully meet up with some forward organising next time you're in the 'Burgh. :D

Disparaging remark in my view there Mike . Sorry mate . There’s simply no need for it .

We fell in love with Edinburgh on our first visit to the City in 1991 in the then newly opened Scandic Crown Hotel in the heart of the Old Town. I’ve been back many times since but not recently even though our Scottish neighbours here in Spain have extended a permanent offer of accommodation if ever we want to visit. I’m thinking this could be our next trip back to the UK for a short break away from sun.

Anyway back on topic, England v Germany it is and probably the most exciting final this tournament could have thrown up. Come on you Lionesses. 🦁🦁🦁

Its not disparaging, any male team with their physical advantage would be way too strong in that department, its just a fact, imagine a big CB hammering into the back of a woman, its not putting the woman's team down, they've done tremendously well but the comment Markos acquaintance made is correct.
