Re: Points haul in Sept & October ?
I watched the game last night with interest.
I'm not sure that Plymouth are going to run out of steam this season - I know they did last season but this season their squad is better and larger.
It's a sobering thought that if our home form had been as good as their then we would be ahead of them now. Can they keep that form going? I don't know, but last night showed them to have reslience as well as the ability to keep things simple on the pitch. Difficult to maintain for the whole season, but by no means impossible.
Whatever,we are 4 points behind them - gd is the same but they have scored more. So we need to concentrate on our own results - especially at home - and just hope they slip up a couple of more times than we do.

I only ever see Plymouth in highlights, and must say their build up play from the back looks very fast and precise. I know its only highlights and any team can be made to look good…….. but Plymouth certainly look slick and effortless at times.
No explanation for the 5-1 they suffered earlier in the season to ……. I cant remember who. Heard of “bad days at the office” but that one must’ve been extreme.

Exeter were far from being shabby.
Defensively they were not too clever, but going forward they have one or two players who could cause us problems especially if we don't tighten the defence up

That was why McKenna replaced Burns with Keogh for the final 6 mins at Charlton on Saturday, to see the game out.
We certainly need to get much better defending two goal leads and if we’re serious about filling one of the two automatic places we simply have to improve defensively because we can’t rely on the rest of the team to score three goals just to get a draw.

The positive side of it is we have conceded One goal or less on 11 occasions in the League this season.

I see November being a disaster, I think we'll on accrue 6 points.

Certainly if we want to stay in touch with Plymouth it’s more than likely we’ll need all 6 points. However there is a glimmer of hope that Lincoln City will be able to hold them to a draw. So far The Imps are undefeated at home with 1 win and 6 draws from 7 played. This includes a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday who have the next best away record in League One after Town.

We just need to get a bigger gap between us and the chasing pack (playoff positions), we will catch Plymouth especially when we repay the favour at our place.

That’s the really big one Dazzz on 14 January. Win or lose it could have a huge bearing on our final position relative to Plymouth.

Speaking of "points haul"........, has this ever happened in the history of soccer? A Europa League group........., all finish on 8 points? That must be a one-off.

For me , it’s Sheffield Wednesday we need to drop points . I’m not worried about Plymouth, it’s the team in 3rd place you want the gap to grow between. Problem is I can’t see them dropping many points.
