You are right, he didn't do much last night but being down to 10 men negated any real attacking option we had.
We went down to 10 men after 17 mins but JJ still looked a lot sharper in the first half.

Yeah but it wasn't until the 70th minute that Cambridge gave it a go once they heard Arsenal U21s were winning. Its odd cus I feel the same way about TJJ that you feel about Ladapo, I just see very little in TJJ most of the time, not really ever impressed me at all.

The problem is Mike the way McKenna sets his teams up, his expectations of his Number 9 is very different to what “Old School” fans expect from the same player. Klopp sets his teams up very similarly in this respect which is why Firmino has only once in 7 seasons been their Top Scorer, and even then he only scored 10 in what was his first year at Anfield.

The modern game has changed so much and young managers like McKenna have such different expectations of players in certain positions and we as fans just have to get used to it.

I guess the only thing that really matters is the end result and based on what I’ve seen so far he’s doing ok.

If we lose just 1 game a month for the rest of the season that would pretty much guarantee automatic promotion to the Championship as League 1 Champions. I’d be more than happy with that.

As for not liking this type of thread Mendip, there’s a simple fix, don’t visit it. Some of us actually enjoy predicting the outcome of games which is why our Prediction League is so successful.

Here's a strange "losing" stat.

Blackburn are leading the Championship after 16 games. They've already lost 7 games so far. They've won the rest.

The bottom club, Coventry have only lost five. How mad is that.

You’re absolutely right Liz and all because their pitch was left in a dangerous unplayable state caused by playing the Commonwealth Games Rugby fixtures there leaving Coventry with no option other than to postpone their first 5 home fixtures.

As if nothing was learned, last weekend was the opening fixture of the Rugby League World Cup and the venue was St James Park, Newcastle with other stadiums being used elsewhere including 5 more football grounds at Sheffield United, Leeds United and Arsenal.

If Coventry win their Three games in hand they would now go above floundering Scum City.

Well that is now 12 points in October with games at Port Vale & Charlton to go, my prediction of 16 could yet prove to be correct.

15 points now, will the final total for October be 15, 16 or 18 ?

I think it will be 18 Mike, just one short of my ambitious prediction of 19. To be honest whichever it is it’s a pretty mean achievement. 👏

6 wins from 7 would be quite something, I think Charlton is a tricky game tbh but they had a stinker of a result Tuesday, reading their fans forum they are saying if they play like that again we'll give them a hiding, it was pretty bad apparently, I'm just hoping there isn't a backlash.

Well sadly I take no pleasure from being correct with 16 points, it should have been 18.

Well done to Mike and Rossi! spot on with 16, just think 16 points from all those games, pretty good eh (just compare it to last season).

I think we’d have all taken 16 points at the start of the month and should be feeling pretty pleased as we go into November, albeit a month with only 2 league games, one at home to Cheltenham and the other away at Exeter City who themselves play at Plymouth tonight.

The icing on the cake would be Exeter taking at least 1 point home with them from Plymouth tonight in the Devon Derby. They certainly got off to great start going 1 up on 25 mins only to concede 2 minutes later.

Half Time Plymouth 1 -1 Exeter City.

COY Reds

1-2 to Exeter now. Keeping fingers crossed that they can do a "Lincoln" and end Plymouth's formidable home record!

They will lose sooner or later and when they do they will lose that top spot and end up in the playoffs, they will not stay there. Also be nice to see Exeter at least grab a point.

It’s all over now 4-2

9 straight home wins. I bet this wont end 4-4.

As the commentator just said we’ve seen crazy finishes before in League 1 and very recently. Who on earth could he be referring too.

That 4th goal puts Plymouth, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday all level on GD at 17 with Plymouth the most goals scored with 36 and Town on 35.

All irrelevant at the moment tho with Plymouth on 41 points and Town on 37.

Behind twice and storm back to win 4-2......., I think they're the title winners right there. Hopefully ITFC can keep pressure on them and go up as runners up. Very early days though..... still 6 games away from HALFWAY......, tons of the soccer left!

Too leaky in defence? Who’s up auto? Weds & Ipswich?
I personally wouldn’t wager anything on Sheff Wed…… Going up at all! Posh v Wed P/O final….. Posh go up.
Do like the Plymouth forward line. If Ipswich had Whittaker playing alongside Morsy —->> champions.

I believe we will be champions with Wednesday up with us yes, Plymouth did this last season and ran out of steam, having watched them against us I feel their squad size will see that happen again, pop on their forum and most of their fans say the same thing, when suspensions and injuries start to bite they will feel it.
