We havent had a penalty in about 35 games... we've had 2 in 10 mins. Is this ref ok?

That’s 6 pens this ref has given in 12 games.

Much better second half and thoroughly deserved in the end. The difference for me was Morsy, I said at. HT we'd not won the midfield, we'll we did second half at it made a massive difference, scored 2, hit the woodwork 3 times and missed a penalty. For me Davis, Edmundson, Keogh, all did well while Chaplin first half and Burns second did well too, Edwards too, different player after the break.

Fair play to Morecambe - they gave us a game. Didnt give them much of a chance before the game. Take the 3 points, but think McKenna might be getting a bit too clever with some of the tinkering.

Well played Town ( after an indifferent first half), …. Couldn’t watch it today as blocked from getting into iFollow ( having already paid!!)
The lads get a week off for just training now. Before Lincoln….. oh, and well done Troy Parrott, always knew that lad would come good lol

Yep, definitely. Worked today but had it gone sour, there would've been chats created.Tangfastic wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 5:04 pm.... but think McKenna might be getting a bit too clever with some of the tinkering.
Nice Fleetwood taking 2 points from Pompey. That'll do.

Another game don't think we would of won last season. Portsmouth only drawing, Peterborough also only drew, Barnsley lost along with Derby losing. Not a bad set of scored at all for us
Like Marko said, so far great day

Well if we are going to get automatic promotion then these are the type of games we need to win. Obviously was a lot harder than we would have wanted but yet again the results for other teams showed that even in this league no game can be taken for granted.
Just one thing though, KM don’t keep making so many changes each week, one or two yes but five is far too many.

Didn’t go today as went last season. Port Vale and Charlton are the next aways for me.

The gap to third is 4 points which is good , the team in 8th miles behind, I would say even at this early stage that's the play offs at the very least secured

Re: League 1 - Morecombe FC vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
In McKenna’s defence he has a big squad of talented players who all want to play, all have something to offer and all need to keep at the top of their game. The more they interchange and the more they play in different formations with different players the easier they will fit in when needed. Where McKenna really earned his money today was at HT when whatever he said worked wonders because for 10 or 15 minutes after the restart we were awesome.
