Re: RIP John Duncan
Sad news. Heard recently that he was poorly. Remember when he signed Baltacha who at the time was regarded as a top rated defender (sweeper) and in his first home game which I think was against Stoke and JD played him on the right side of midfield.
RIP JD

He was never one of my favourite Town managers but was a good player and by all accounts a very good man too. RIP John Duncan and condolences to your family and closest friends.

RIP John Duncan. Thoughts with family & friends.
Always wanted him to be Paul Jewell’s assistant.
PJ & Duncan @ ITFC would’ve been amusing.

Re: RIP John Duncan
Got castigated often by our fanbase over time but looking back he was far from the worse that ever took position here. Brought in to do a certain job after the team's fall from the elite in '86 and Bob Ferguson's time here, it didn't quite work for him and results were in so many words, mixed. Think Chesterfields is where he'd be most famously lauded, made a name for oneself.
It's never pleasant when a former member of the ITFC family passes on so all respects due, take the opportunity to provide condolences to Mr Duncan's immediate family and those closest.

RIP John.
These former players always seem to die relatively young. Had he been unwell does anyone know? Sad time and my heart felts wishes go to his family.

Re: RIP John Duncan
It was reported in mid September that he was seriously ill in hospital. I suspect his family chose for him to die at home with his family around him. Very sad.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 8:49 amRIP John.
