Edwards ( the old one we had)
Doesn’t appear anywhere in the Wigan squad these days . Not surprised tbh , never rated him. But wonder if he’s injured or has he been moved on. Anyone know?

He was injured on the first day of the season and hasn’t kicked a ball since. Achilles injury.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 10:18 pmDoesn’t appear anywhere in the Wigan squad these days . Not surprised tbh , never rated him. But wonder if he’s injured or has he been moved on. Anyone know?

Carlos was the first one that came to my mind from the subject line! Couldn't make out why you were talking about a 43 year old still playing!

I thought C Edwards was still playing, and seemingly he is!! Don't know if he plays much, but he's on the books at Bury Town by the looks of it. Was always a fit player.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 8:53 amCarlos was the first one that came to my mind from the subject line! Re: Edwards ( the old one we had)
He was almost a scapegoat at times but for me, he played very good games a lot more than he did not. IMO of course based on fading memories!Ricco wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 9:56 amI thought C Edwards was still playing, and seemingly he is!! Re: Edwards ( the old one we had)
I remember him a a solid reliable player, very professional and unfazed when criticised. Of course my memory is not what it was either! There is always a scapegoat defender, usually elected unfairly, and unfortunately if you're not white British, then you're more likely to be that man!marko69 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 12:25 pmHe was almost a scapegoat at times but for me, he played very good games a lot more than he did not. Carlos Edwards will always remind me of that magic moment away at Derby when he picked up the ball in Midfield, strode forward and unleashed a screamer to win us the game, we went absolutely crazy.
