So sad . I didn’t realise he was even unwell tbh. A proper player and a true legend in the game….

Certainly the best player of my generation and a true gentleman too. The former striker is Brazil's all-time leading scorer with 77 goals in 92 games and scored in four World Cup tournaments.
Wishing him well but the news is very sad.

Just heard on the BBC World cup programme that they’d just been given a report, indicating he was rallying . Good on him. C’mon Pele, keep fighting fella .

Think Pele might be a bit too poorly for this, Hallam?
Get well soon, Mr Brazil……. Proper legend & genius.

Ps I used to love watching Saturday grandstand on BBC watching things like Rally driving , Motorbike trials racing, when I was a kid . It just fascinated me seeing these people flying round forests at breakneck speeds, sliding through the mud, or trying to stay on their bikes on really dodgy , muddy ground . Very skilful.
