Nice one, Exeter 1 v 0 Sheff Wednesday
Yes indeed, Sheff Wed, never slip up or drop points lmfao, how did we do at Exeter ?

More relevant than the score, I see Barry Bannen went off on 35mins to be replaced by Tyreeq Bakinson no less, could be significant

All we need now is a late goal for Cambridge. At this rate we could be the only team in the top half of the table this morning to take 3 points today.

Late equaliser for Wednesday but I'm still happy with today's results, they've both dropped points at places they shouldn't.

They weren’t that bad today but we were definitely the better side and deserved the win.

Aluko was fantastic, didn’t look at all rusty and actually one of his best games.

If we had a killer striker we’d be immense, we felt too much on Chaplin and harness for goals, Freddie is a better goal threat than Jackson.

Very happy with the win.

To their credit Posh came to Portman Road today to play football which allowed us to play too and edge thd win. Had they chosen to shut up shop and choose simply not to lose we could have struggled to get anything more than a draw. It certainly wasn’t an easy win.

Well played Town. A very important win … I’m glad our rivals slipped up . Just cedar we needed.

But once again we are subjected totally abysmal officials at PR. They’re not just crap , they’re cjearly biased . How can the ref totally ignore s Town player being “ completely taken out” by a Posh player yet 2 mins later give a free kick to them and a booking for our player for a foul which amounted to the merest of touch’s?? This is just one example of what Mike snd I were watching all afternoon. He gave Town nothing all afternoon, and we we seem to see this EVERY home game. We’re playing against 12 men at PR every game. It’s ridiculous!

On to thf next game . Wycombe away . Not got the feint hearted, and certainly not an easy game ( are there any in this league?).

PS I wish we had two Kayden Jackson’s in the squad because his tempo, pace snd endeavour caused Posh problems all afternoon. He made their defence make mistakes . I need to watch the goals back but I definitely put their goal down to non existent marking at the far post AGAIN, and Walton deciding he didn’t need to wear a hat despite shielding his eyes with one hand all first half . He lost sight of the ball I feel due to being blinded by the low sun . The pillock!!

Also, why the hell did we elect to defend the SBR end when the sun is so low this time of year making it almost impossible to see crosses coming into the box?? By the time the 2nd half starts the sun has gone below the stand …

PPS: I’d have got the score right if that tit of a ref hadn’t disallowed Ladapo back heeled goal. Anyone know why?

Can’t believe you predicted Town to win by a two goal margin 🤣… this has to be a wind up. 😘

This is where the real actions at, this is what's really important. f*ck the World Cup for a moment, promotion from League One and domestics is the one true objective.

Viewing the League right now and guess we'll never have a better opportunity of promotion than as it stands now. There's a real gap between third place and fourth, not sure that will continue in the months ahead but truth here is only Sheffield Wednesday stand between us and a promotion.

I don't care about finishing first, I'd take runners-up right now. So long as we're in an automatic slot by end of final game, Plymouth or whoever can have their title parade. Need to check who we got in games coming up in the next few weeks, attention has been distracted to some extent, but feel we can beat any team on any given day. All it needs is the manager and players retaining that belief and consistency.

If they can do that, we'll have a great chance of making it. Some distance still to run but even now you got to truly believe we're going to do it.

I think Saturday's win was really important because it shows:

1) resiliance. We can dig in and get a gritty win against a half-decent side in this division
2) the depth and quality of our squad. We can sustain injuries to players like Harness but replace them with the quality of Aluko. We can lose Evans but call on a talent like Humphreys

The bookies have had us as overwhelming favourites for champions since the beginning of the season. Sheff Weds are the only competition, but if they lose Bannon will be half the team. Therein lies the difference between them and us

Plymouth have another player out for a while.

Defender Brendan Galloway looks set for an extended spell on the sidelines as the Pilgrims battle against Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday at the top of League One

I’m hoping they start to drop away now . They seem to do this every season. But they now have 3 home games in the bounce but they’ve also got a cup game to deal with.

Our injuries are starting to return so hopefully that pendulum swings in our favour going into new year.
