Yes, read that earlier. Given the all clear in 2020. 🤦‍♂️ Cancer is indeed one total b*stard.

RIP Gianluca………, fantastic football player in your prime.

were just about to mention the issue, didn't realize there was a thread for it. Came as something of a shock, was unaware he had been ill. 58 is really no age at all.

(news reports add) had been told an all-clear two years back but diagnosed once again a year after. Were only part of the Italian national squad in some capacity a few weeks back. Association president Gabrielle Gravin stated "he were a splendid person and leaves behind a void that cannot be filled"

Comes too soon after the demise of Pele and while not of the standard and recognition of the Brazilian, Vialli at least was a memorable World Cup name to some who over time rose to something of distinguishable prominence. Shame to learn of this news.
