Nathan Broadhead

Post by Bluemike » Tue Jan 10, 2023 9:00 am

I know Hallam has put up a link to some of his goals while with Everton u18's etc but there is another one here of some of his more recent goals, I have to admit he looks the real deal and can score all sorts of different types of goal, very excited by this lads footage.

Thanks Mike. From memory he was a real PUTA against us for Sunderland ….

All round striker most goals with right foot but some cracking left foot goals headers and muscle defenders off the ball.
Could be the key signing to get us up.

Just watched the interview, albeit was quite short, seems a nice, quiet lad, wish him all the best here.

Thinking back to his move he was keen on a Sunderland move, I know the Mackems are passionate footballing bunch, I think he will settle in here fine once the crowd get behind him and in their numbers too.

If he can make his debut on Saturday, score it will be something he will not forget.

I’d like to see him get some game time on Saturday because we know he’s match fit and ready to play. We also know he’ll be buzzing from this new career opportunity and most likely get far more goal scoring opportunities with our boys than he was getting at Wigan.

Got my stats hat on (it rarely comes off), but this season he is scoring at about a goal ever 210 mins, which over a season, if 90 minutes is played each game, would amount to 19 goals for the season. So those who worry he is having a lean year, he's actually outscored Keane for goals per minute. Not bad at a team propping up the table.

It could be a inspired signing.

Obviously we’ve got to hope he fits in with his team mates but that will have been evaluated to the nth degree by McKenna and Co before making a bid. I think it’s a brilliant signing and can’t wait to see him running out in a Town shirt.

f*ck worrying about our defence, let’s just score more goals.

As you say though, he looks to have a bit of everything, so I'm sure he'll fit in just fine.

I think the only potential issue is injuries. He has seemingly had his fair share of hamstring issues. Let's just hope that's behind him and his reduced game time has been through selection, not teams nursing things.

Either you're as big a start nerd as I am, or you read my other post. Both points I'd find surprising

Main point though is Broadhead is rated 68 on Fifa and Ladapo is only 67, so he must be better??

They each have different attributes to bring to a game . If you think about from our opponents point of view … the choices at our disposal fir strikers, means they are far less sure how we’re going to play it now. And , can change it mid game 👍

Just watched that NB video snd what comes across to me is he can score so many different types of goals, head, left or right foot, long, short range etc , but he is so CALM in the box. This boy is going to be a massive asset to us and I think he starts ahead of Hirst off that bench Saturday .

But WHAT A BENCH eh 👍

In his defence, the English language is really difficult... but It can be understood through tough thorough thought though.

I’d heard he’d hurt his back lying on a different bed from his and it user his back … tbf can happen to any of us. How many have had a bad back after staying away? Come on hands up , do t be shy!

Yeah but that wasn’t usually the beds fault ;) SHABBA!

Anyway…..I’ve heard he is a great player but IS injury prone. I guess at this level you can’t have it all otherwise he’d be a championship player or above.

I hope he has the same injury record as McGoldrick, he was never injured, he just didn't want to play.

Yeah I've thrown my back out getting out the car before  let's hope this is an injury soon forgotten.

Macgoaldraught was a lazy player, wasn't the manager stopping him.
