Not the sole reason maybe, but the main reason for sure, only an idiot would drop players who score goals for players who don't, Chaplin being a prime example, more than once he got MOTM only to find himself benched, same with Ladapo, a third of the season on the bench, wouldn't be far off Twenty by now.
One thing for sure Mike, Kieron McKenna is no idiot when it comes to knowledge of football.

No definitely not an idiot where knowledge is concerned, sometimes the execution is debatable

That’s the second time we’ve been in the last pair drawn out. ☹️

I don't think we'll get close to Burnley twice to be honest

A pretty uninteresting set of 5th Round fixtures which paves the way for 7 of the 8 Teams in the QF’s coming from the Premier League. In fact Town or Burnley’s tie with the winners of Fleetwood v Sheffield United is the only tie that guarantees a place for a non EPL club in the last 8.

Not being negative, but I just don’t see us advancing. Kompany will make sure to field a strong squad to make sure Burnley get the win in front of the home crowd. It may be a blessing since our focus should be closing the gap between the top two in the league and to reinforce the push for automatic promotion. I kind of hope we lose and Wednesday win, so they have a distraction for the remainder of the season.

IF we could only shock Burnley we'd have a fab chance of a quarter final appearance

Get rid of the PL pimp, Sky, and this madness would eventually subside.
Forget it Liz, Sky and their associates are here to stay and the money will just get bigger. The Premier League is now the most watched Football League in the World and reaches 643m viewers per game and has a worldwide television audience of over 3.2 billion people.

The amount of money sloshing around is indeed immoral but sadly it’s here to stay and contributes approximately half of each PL clubs total revenue. As for Chelsea in isolation, they’re actually one of the better run clubs making a profit in three of the last four years. How long that’s sustainable offering £105m for a defender is another matter.
