They must have had a rocket at HT.

Wednesday have only just managed their first shot on target, though no doubt will find a way to win somehow.

....and are now 1-0 up.

I don’t think we’ll catch Sheff Wed but I’ve not completely given up hope we can’t catch Plymouth but that’s more in their control than ours.

Derby were 2 up but Shrewsbury have now levelled. The places below us are looking good so far.

Whilst things are going for us a Charlton equaliser would be nice...

And this time good play down the left with Broadhead, Davis and Chaplin. A real afternoon for the new boys to prove their worth. ⚽️

Agreed. For me these new players are getting bedded in at a perfect time. The goals are coming, the defence are looking better.

Massimo Luongo off, I think that’s the best game I’ve seen him play and expect to see him in the starting line up more often as we go into a run of tricky games. Even with Chaplin scoring two goals it wouldn’t surprise me if Luongo gets MOTM.

Bit concerned with the Leif Davis injury. Mind you we have a capable understudy in Leigh.

I think Harry Clarke can play left and Donacien play right, that’s another option.

I know it’s only Burton but the defence have looked pretty assured apart from a couple of mistakes from Woolfie in the first half. Anyway it’s never bad to post a clean sheet whoever the opposition is.

Well done all round, a very comfortable afternoon once we’d managed to overcome their early pressure.

Good result. LUONGO was very good today. Defencely we looked solid, but we gave cheap possession away far to often, 3 pts move on. 👍

While it will count for little if we finish third, none of the 6 teams directly below us managed a win today. Momentum however could be massive if we end up in the playoffs. Our goal difference alone is almost worth an extra point.

winning 4-0 against anybody is a great result, Very pleasing that our attackers .Certainly looks our best team

With our goal difference as Mark said could really count now. Lot better place now than were after the games against Cambridge and Oxford, thank goodness

To be honest, I didn't think we were that good for a lot of the game. Quite sloppy for periods of the game. Just much more ruthless and could go up a gear or two when needed. Maybe a good sign that we can win easily and not be totally at our best.

I thought Luongo looked really good. Like another Morsy. Luongo, Chaplin and Burgess the picks of the bunch for me.

If Conor Chaplin keeps scoring at his current rate we’ll struggle to hold onto him if we don’t get promoted.

Yep, the sad nature of the “modern” game. Extremely annoying

I’m hoping someone comes in and actually pays us some money for Woolfie. He’s a bloody liability .

Was at the game, this is spot on - Burton weren't that bad, had tons of corners and were much better than FGR for example - but we were utterly ruthless today in front of goal, for once! :) Usually we need tons of chances to score, not today!

Having Luongo and hopefully Morsy for those 3 hard away games could be big, alot of battle in that MF. Some nice moves in the second hald too, condifence was there and the pace of passing just ramps up when that happens.

A good, solid win when we were not 100% at the races. Ladapo was great for me, along with Chaplin and Luongo. Oh and what a great block from Burgess in the second half - real heart and soul in that one. Take the 3 points and move on - we didn't make a dent on Plymouth but we did on Derby, Barnsley and Bolton so a good day all round. Plymouth will falter - we just need to make sure we don't...

Spot on re those players - Burges was great today and Clark did well too. Freddie first half was fantastic.
