End of the day as long as keep winning, long way to go yet. Was hoping Pompey could grab a couple, Barnsley are making a bid.

Plymouth can f*ck off. 2-1. At 1-0 down, for half a second I thought I'd feel bad for them if they missed out on automatics to town at the end of the season. But now they can f*ck off. Town have been better than them all season, only reason Town aren't out of sight is because teams put 12 men and the kitchen sink behind the ball. If they did the same against Plymouth, they'd be down fighting to sneak in the playoffs at best.

Lovely free kick from Kyle, happy for the lad.
Nice 3 - 0 win, bring on the Trotters, love to see us beat them by a few.

5 clean sheets in a row. What is the Ipswich record for this? Anyone know?

Keeping one eye on Plymouth/Derby on Sky. Very dubious penalty but, to be fair, Plymouth are full value for the lead.

Yes right again!! Unfortunately those above us don't drop pointsmendipblue wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 9:43 pmTown not firing on all cylinders. Definitely need a second goal. Any problems we have had are own making. Step it up 2nd half we score 2 or 3.. so important to win this game .

They "did" suck......, but they've managed to sort things out. Its quite inspiring to be honest. There were a few borderline knee-jerk comments about Kieron himself, but the entire unit, manager & players seem to be clicking at the right time.
3pts at the Reebok this Saturday......, or whatever it is called these days. Boundary Park?

Another convincing victory for Town - on a great run of form just now.
Looks like Plymouth deserved to win. They don't drop points at home, do they?
Saturday's fixtures really do look season defining now. I can definitely see Barnsley beating Plymouth. But can we go to Bolton and win?

We were not at are best tonight but we did enough. 5 clean sheets now, and 12 scored. Chaplin, Ladapo looked tired. Jackson played well, defence looked solid unless we caused are own problems
Bolton is massive game Saturday.

I think I'm losing it Marko, I've e had enough of this league, I need out

Oh, but the forwards bit was a sarcy jab at a sarcy jab, they've been carrying the defence all season

As it stands 5 is the all time record of clean sheets in a row. This has been equalled a few times. To beat the record at Bolton would be sweet.

I believe it's now called The University Of Notlob Stadium, or something similar.marko69 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 10:57 pmThey "did" suck......, but they've managed to sort things out. Re: League 1 - Ipswich Town vs Accrington Stanley Preview & Matchday Thread
It’s not just Bolton on Saturday. Our next 5 games are all against teams with aspirations of making the play offs including Shrewsbury Town and Bolton (a) is only the start.
Our next 5 games are,
11/3 Bolton (a) 5th 63 pts
18/3 Shrewsbury (h) 9th 52 pts
25/3 Barnsley (a) 4th 63 pts
1/4 Derby (a) 6th 61 pts
7/4 Wycombe (h) 7th 57 pts
If we can stay in touch with the Top 2 teams throughout these fixtures especially Plymouth then it’s game on for the final 6 game run in to the end of the season.

f**king Plymouth. Sons of bitches. Spoiled a great Town win but guess maybe should applaud their resilience in turning a deficit into a winning situation. Won't give it any more consideration at risk at mentioning something may later regret. f*ck it, these things happen. Three dropped points - even two - would have been ideal for us though.
On to ourselves and the team did what it had to. Comprehensive win, no doubt really in the victory and the team is scoring goals freely it got to be said. Not really concerned about the Bolton game coming up, we'll surely score at least one for the trip there, possibly more but they'll make it tough naturally.
Say again Barnsley are a team to worry about. They're too close behind us with believe games to spare and the meeting with them when time arises will be pivotal. Not sure about crowd at PR today, guessing more than 20,000 and under 26. Those who were in attendance would have seen an expected victory but we won with something to spare and goals don't seem a problem for us. What a difference from recent seasons and managers here.
We're too near the automatic promotion objective to give up that much is clear. The leading two don't make it easy but you got to focus more perhaps on the chasing pack right behind us. IF Town get a promotion this year we will have earned the right to be of Championship status once again, however other club names DO get in the way and cause problems towards that said objective.

Have they??? Not sure what sarcy means, but the writing is on the wall. We have more clean sheets than a hospital ward in Ipswich!

Re: League 1 - Ipswich Town vs Accrington Stanley Preview & Matchday Thread
Decent enough win again last night, never did we really look like conceding never mind losing, for me from the 12th minute when the first went in it was game over.
Excellent performances from Luongo, Morsy and Jackson while a few others did well too. I think Jackson had an excellent first half where his speed, runs and movement caused them all manner of problems.
I still think this playing out from the back is at times too risky, do it by all means yes but be a little bit more selective when it's too tight, I mean Two or Three times Walton played us into trouble.
Was really pleased for Edwards to get his goal too, his chances are so limited, its odd how Harness has become nothing more than a bit part player, and not very effective at that either.
The only downer on the night was Plymouth grinding out yet another win, I didn't expect it so hats off to them, it could just be they prove me wrong and go the distance, all we can do is keep winning, massive games Saturday with us at Bolton and Plymouth at Barnsley. Keep the wins, goals and clean sheets coming and I still think we'll be there come May.

Obviously Coleman was at a different game to me last night. He has been going on about how the ref gave us all the decisions and it always happens to them. Biggest laugh was him moaning about the ref having a go at them about time wasting, well what the feck does he expect when they started doing it from virtually the 1st minute.
Absolute tw*t.

I see what you mean Shed, Ooh wow what planet is he on? I know he's one of Paul Cooks's best buddies but he just raffles on about injustice, not fair, not having luck of the green, our crowed getting onto the ref. Did he not see the freekicks his team won when shouldn't have? The throw ins going to them when was ours.Shed on tour wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 9:56 amObviously Coleman was at a different game to me last night. He moans and groans after every game, did laugh at his comments though
