I don’t understand betting offs at all so wouldn’t know if these are good for us or not …. Snd is it true the bookies rarely get it wrong ?

They are offering 4/6 Ipswich so that means if you put £6 on Town you would win £4 and you receive £10 back, so the odds are bad if anyone wants a bet but it's good for us because they think we will get promoted, they don't always get it right it's just their opinion but hopefully they will be right this time.

Yeah 4/6 is basically the bookies giving Town a slightly better than 50/50 chance of automatics. Strictly speaking it's a 60% chance, but it's always slanted towards the bookies so they can make those juicy profits, so probably more like 55%.

FWIW they give Town about a 70% chance of promotion, which takes in to account promotion through playoffs.

What it means in the simplest of terms is that the bookies are pretty confident that Sheffield Wednesday will get promoted as Champions with Town promoted as Runners Up and Derby County will win the Play Offs.

What a result that would be.

Let’s hope the bookies have it right, to be fair they usually do a better job at it than the rest of us.
