This would be a massive signing should it happen, Alan Nixon is regarded very highly as being in the know, best we get promotedTown are being linked with a summer move for Portsmouth striker Colby Bishop.
The 26-year-old has scored 22 goals in all competitions for Pompey this season having joined them for £500,000 from Accrington Stanley in the summer.
Now, The Sun on Sunday’s Alan Nixon is claiming the Blues are keeping tabs on the former Notts County, Gloucester, Worcester, Boston United and Leamington frontman ahead of a potential move should they win promotion to the Championship.
Nottingham-born Bishop has been a regular scorer against Town for both Stanley and Portsmouth and netted twice from the spot in his current side’s 3-2 defeat at Portman Road in October and once in the 2-2 draw at Fratton Park just after Christmas.

Hope he’s not partial to the treatment room like other Bishops.

Hate stories like this. Hardly gives the current crop of players incentive for promotion does it?

Tbh hasn’t he got most of his goals from the penalty spot? IF we were in for another striker I’d be trying to sign Hirst end of. He has a real quality about that is still to fully emerge but he’s looking better every game.

Re: Colby Bishop
Last looked we had strikers and attacking options coming out of every orifice. Probably more so than at any other time in club history. We hardly need add any further names to what we already got. All right some of them aren't arguably good enough or not deemed reliable, but collectively, they're enough.
I wouldn't bring Puskas and Di Stefano or board right now in that we simply don't need to. Unless there's a mass cull during the summer where at least half of all attacking options are made surplus, I wouldnt really entertain bringing anyone else in irrespective of who they are or where they come from.
Guess the ultimate factor lies in whether the team is promoted or not.
