Oh sh*t I’d forgotten they’ve got McGoldrick !
Let’s hope we can keep him quiet for the afternoon.

Waltons part in that was massive, first the save from the first in swinging corner that was almost certainly going in, then a fantastic throw that started the move that led to the goal which was cooly finished by Conor Chaplin. Fantastic

Great saving tackle from Leigh. Derby gaining momentum after a poor opening 20 minutes.

Town look reasonably comfortable scored a great goal. Derby do pose a threat with there one twos round the box. If Town score again it should be game over.

A good first half. Leigh whilst not as good as Davis going forward has defended well and Town deserve their 0-1 lead not least for their dominance for the first 20/25 mins. Derby will probably feel they should be level given the cheat chance McGoldrick missed just before half time. So far so good.

Just watched the goal again, after the throw from Walton to Broadhead what a fantastic run and pin point cross field pass to Burns whose first touch header dropped perfectly for Chaplin to score. That on MOTD would be Goal of The Month material.
Also just seen the early yellow card for Derby defender Cashin’s foul on Wes Burns in the 3rd minute which probably should and could easily have been a straight red, and that’s according to Rams Tv.

Looks like Derby may have come back into it slightly judging by the stats on BBC......., but hopefully ITFC can add a second quickly in the 2nd half. Settle things down

That was a devastating counter attack. Great rapid build up to a great goal.Charnwood wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 4:01 pmJust watched the goal again, after the throw from Walton to Broadhead what a fantastic run and pin point cross field pass to Burns whose first touch header dropped perfectly for Chaplin to score. Re: League 1 - Derby FC vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
i'd ask how the team are actually playing but it'd be akin to banging one's head against a f**king brick wall. Looks like we have a lead, somehow get an impession Derby aren't playing well. That's too bad, it's their loss our gain. Believe one more goal from ourselves would appear to settle it.
Barnsley are going to get three points from today it seems and SWFC making a mess of things once again. What a result three points would be for us today if the latter were to fail to win. Derby are essentially a poor team even their own fanbase admit it, or the honest one's at least. I believe they're tailor made to be beaten today, if we can score one more, got to believe, it will be enough.

Just watched the disallowed goal half a dozen times and can’t see any reason why it was ruled out, we were so lucky and makes up for one of the bad decisions against us earlier in the season.
