I agree, at least he would offer something different
It really seems strange being so negative but this is just totally pathetic. 2-1 down and i see nobody wanting it. No desire. all packed their bags heading for a nice holiday. Well that's great and not saying they don't deserve it but 1,200 or so at game, 5.000 watching at Portman road, 10,000 plus watching on iFollow
enough said
and yes really happy we are going up but this is rubbish

Think Scotty is just getting his last win in before heading to the Leith San Siro.

Posh 0-2 up at Barnsley. It looks like the Tykes didn’t fancy Derby in the play offs.

Could be worse. Could be Notts County fans. To finish 23 points in 2nd ahead of 3rd, and be getting beaten in the semi v Boredom Wood……. Wow! Sore one

Yes, it is well done indeed. Losing Whittaker in Jan and written off…….. but ….. champions. Well done.

No I agree . It looked like a Beattie type of challenge to me. God knows what these refs would be like referring games in the 70’s/ 80’s !

Disappointing result for me and a half hearted performance against a team with nothing but pride to play for.
Interesting play off line up which has seen Peterborough replace Derby in the semi finals which could produce an all South Yorkshire final.
Meanwhile at the other end of the table s great escape for Cambridge who not long ago looked certs for relegation. Well done to them.

If I was a Fleetwood fan I would be pissed off they don't try like that every week. Great season Town, .mission accomplished.

I hope Posh flatten Weds tbh . I can only see Barnsley coming up. But the “ football “ team doesn’t always win through does it.Charnwood wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 2:08 pmDisappointing result for me and a half hearted performance against a team with nothing but pride to play for.

Yes, echo Mendip…….. great season. Not sure if the objective was promotion or just a shot at Play-Offs…… but the team have excelled. Very well done and hope all have a well earned summer. Come back fresh for hopefully not too many pre-season friendlies, and for the very exciting and tough 23/24 season.

I say we should sign Jack Marriott back here Why The Fook did we let him and others go in the first place he was scoring goals for fun in the under-21's just like Wickham, and Rhodes, I just hope we hold onto our quality young guns for the future of our squad, It just goes to show what a Fooking useless lot of management we had back then no wonder we have struggled for 20 years But now we are back in the Championship I will expect us to build a squad similar to how Brentford have done.

My memory of Marriott was he did feck all, then as soon as he arrived at Woking; turned into a goal machine. He wokened up.
But…….. ahem, ipswich are Championship now……. He’s shitty League One.

Certainly wouldn’t “expect it”…….. but that’d be awesome. Ipswich going to Stamford Bridge & winning ?ashfordblue wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 2:21 pm….will expect us to build a squad similar to how Brentford have done.

Have to congratulate Plymouth, superb season
Seems like Derby had a player sent off harshly. According to Sky Sports anyway the sending off was harsh.
We had a fantastic season. Dust settled on this game now. Well done Town, have a great summer and hopefully a successful 1st season back in Championship

Bit of a flat ending to the season but hey ho! It's been a rollercoaster of a season, but I'm looking forward to a few weeks of normal blood pressure and some beach time before we go again!
PS.Anyone know what day the fixtures are released for next season?? Just want to prior plan to try and get back for the Budgies game at PR!!!!

Not totally unexpected for me today, the celebrations have clearly taken their toll. We weren't even half hearted, more quarter hearted but if we had needed the win we would have won it.
A class goal from Freddie, best striker at the club for me, he was inches off a second too. One thing I have ascertained from today, Ball, Donacien, Jackson and Harness won't cut it in the Championship and all need shipping out.
I think Morsy is massive for us and it showed big time but again I think all the players were pretty jaded which is not a surprise at all, it must be virtually impossible to come down from the euphoria of last week and roll up in f**king Fleetwood, trust me it's as bleak as it gets.
Job done, move on and the work starts now. COYB'S

Re: League 1 - Fleetwood Town vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Too early a start for some but right off the bat got to be disappointed we didn't win / finish without question a marvellous season on a high / with victory. Really expected to win this and round off an outstanding season with a last win and 100 points, and (no disrespect to the opponents) but denied by some club name you can't even recognize. p*ss-ant nobodies.
Still it's been marvellous for us over the past nine months. Hit heights you wouldn't have thought possible back when it all began in August. Tired of the reiteration but say again it's been by far the best season here for well over 15 years. It's a just a shame too much of the time inbetween we never got up to much by way of inept sh*t managerial appointments and an owner that seemed (or were) intent on ruining the club name.
Grudging respect and congrats to PAFC for winning the league but many will question if the right team actually deserved it / finished at a league summit position. Kind of surprised Derby County didn't or won't have a play-off opportunity. If you think we had a lousy score today maybe consider one or two other's predicament or thoughts right now.

Agreed, but I'd also add Burns into that list, thought he was awful today, actually quite a few of our players looked disinterested today but him more than most.Bluemike wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 3:09 pmNot totally unexpected for me today, the celebrations have clearly taken their toll. Will be very interesting to see what the summer transfer market brings.
