Nope. I’d be looking more at some of Posh’s young talent ( I’m assuming they’d lose to Barnsley in PO final and we’d have more chance of getting them).

Re: Transfer Rumours
I agree, I think Bannen is overatted, amusing how the Owls fans are now saying he should be the first to go lol, you couldn't make it up.

Re: Transfer Rumours
He’s definitely not overrated because the laddie is brilliant…….. , don’t really think he’s a proper fit for how KMcK has been setting up past 13 games, but he definitely could do the Morsy role should he become unavailable through injury.
IE; when the rest of the team cant be arsed, Morsy (or Bannan) step up.

Slow going to some side notes:
Plymouth will have the lowest budget in the league.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65576377
I see Sonny Bradley is released, wonder where he will end up? I know we had interest in him the first season before this one just gone.
Clubs are starting to publish their released lists:
QPR
Released: Luke Amos, Leon Balogun, Olamide Shodipo, Conor Masterson, Charlie Owens, Ody Alfa
Returned to parent club: Tyler Roberts, Ethan Laird, Tim Iroegbunam, Jamal Lowe
Offered new deal: Chris Martin, Jordan Archer, Elijah Dixon-Bonner, Aaron Drewe, Stephen Duke-McKenna
STOKE
Released: Sam Clucas, Demeaco Duhaney, Aden Flint, Morgan Fox, Phil Jagielka, Tashan Oakley-Boothe, Nick Powell
Returned to parent club: Will Smallbone, Dujon Sterling, Matija Sarkic, Bersant Celina, Ki-Jane Hoever, Ben Pearson, Axel Tuanzebe

Re: Transfer Rumours
I see Norwich have signed Ashley Barnes, I actually wanted him here last year as I beliueve he was out of contract (but signed a new deal).
I know his numbers aren't great, but he brings alot and would have suited the system we play IMO. I think he is a little bit too old now, might be good for some of the coming season but they have taken him on a 2 year deal so he will be 35 next year. If we get Hirst or better I'd think that would be a better move.

Their fans are not overly impressed. I'm glad he didn't end up here tbh.

Re: Transfer Rumours
You’d hope ( if you were a naarwich fan) thst they’d brought him for his experience and influence on the squad. At 33/34 yrs old I doubt he’ll bring much else.

To be fair Burnley fans rate him highly and say he played a major role in their season.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Exactly, for his influence / experience. But a striker scoring the goals, I don’t think he’ll be all that over the whole season.

He's never scored more than 10 in a season at that level or higher from what I've read.

Those Peterborough youngsters could be on the list now. Cannot believe they lost 5-1 AET on penalties..to Wednesday

Re: Transfer Rumours
Weds scored 5th equaliser in the 9th min of injury time. The board went up indicating only 6mins of injury time. So, Mr Ref explain why you added 50% more injury time? I’d be livid if I Ferguson or a Posh fan!
But I do wonder how many posh players we might target now.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Yes Liz, but the first 2 minutes of added time were lost to an injury - add to that the amount of time wasting Posh were doing then I think the ref got it right letting the game go on after 6 mins.hallamblue wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 7:23 amWeds scored 5th equaliser in the 9th min of injury time. As for Posh players - I said last week I think we'll go for JCH and I still think that likely. Hope we don't go for Jack Taylor - we don't beed him and I didnt think he looked any good anyway.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Well obviously I couldn’t see game as it was in sky … but I suppose I’m almost “ anti “ SWFC fans because of their racism towards Moore and sheer arrogance throughout the season. The team deserve their day at Wembley for sure, but not their fans, and I really hope Barnsley of Bolton beat them.
With regards to Posh players , I’m sure we’ll go after Taylor (not sure about their striker though) or even which one of those two players would be best to go for. They had a young winger (I think), who looked really useful vs Weds in first game. Don’t know his name , but thought he looked really useful . I think he played wide right.

Re: Transfer Rumours
What it says to me is don't put a board up indicating how much added time, just leave it to the Refs discretion which is pretty much what happens anyway.

None I hope. After watching that. They all deserve to stay in League 1. They should be ashamed of themselves. As for Clarke-Harris and Taylor, both were crap, we don't need players who can't perform under pressure.hallamblue wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 7:23 amWeds scored 5th equaliser in the 9th min of injury time. Re: Transfer Rumours
I'm not saying particularly that I would like to se JCH here, but I do think he is the type of striker that we will be looking to bring in. I don't watch Peterboro often enough to be able to comment on whether or not he is crap, but his number of goals this season indicates to me that he is certainly not.

I think he's at his level though Gary, I may be completely wrong but a few of ours are probably at their level too.

Agree with this statement.
I'd say JCH is a top L1 striker, OK champ striker, but he doesnt fit the profile in terms of asset, he is not young (no sell-on value), not cheap to get either.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Can’t disagree with you on that point tbf. In fact you’d perhaps hope that Town would be targeting players able to step up to PL, more than just be “ok” for championship level.mendipblue wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 9:05 amNone I hope.
