Chambo played 47 times this season and 49 the season before you would have thought he would have got one more year.

Skuse goes to Bury, and the rest are reportedly collaborating to purchase and operate a chippy van in the Norfolk Broads. The proposed menu can be found online comprised of the players' own family recipes including, 'The Eel'mr Huws and chips' and the soon to be popular "Chambers deep fried sausages'. Apparently Freddie Sears has been working on a secret recipe, but he keeps missing the target.

Tommy Smith and Tom Eastman are still considering their investment in the chippy as they're also planning to open a gentleman's club in the Shrub End of Colchester. If council approves the plans, the venue will be appropriately named 'The Tom Tom Club'.

No one encapsulates the wilderness years quite like Emyr Hughes

It is indeed. And yet, I well remember that Chambers, Skuse, and Judge were being lauded by many on this site as being irreplaceable as recently as 3 years ago. It's a funny old world.

I think Chambers was definitely one who deserved respect, he gave his all and was Town through and through, Judge was a joke for sure.

I guess at the time you don't always appreciate how good or bad something is until you don't have it anymore, right now is a classic case in point with McKenna's achievements making the previous set up even more dismal.

Let's be honest Gary some of us, you and me included had a few doubts not long ago regarding Mckenna, we all make judgements and have opinions based on the here and now, sometimes we get it right and sometimes wrong, that's the beauty of Football I guess.

Jimmy Greaves said "its a funny old game"
If the Ex professionals cannot get it correct what chance do we fans have.

Smith must be around 35 now, surprised he's still playing at professional level. Don't recall an Eastman here, must have been something of a vague player or didn't feature often. Chambers doesn't really merit criticism, played here over 10 years and would have had a testimonial at one time or another. Club captain, argubly one of the most pivotal and influentional players we had of the past say 25 years. I concur the rest weren't really up to much.
