Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
If Ipswich can get to the EPL; to underline the magnitude of that effort ---->> Forest Green Rovers have just been emptied to non-league. Shared a league with them last season. Crazy game.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
They did beat Norwich by 7 - 1 early in a season some years back.
Kind of surprised they and WBA failed to win today considering the need for three points for each involved. Sheffield Wednesday must have really raised their game to take a score like that from them. They could still be relegated and victories are a must so can see the logic in a result such as that.

West Brom are in danger of missing out on the POs altogether after being nailed on in 5th for half the season. If they lose this last game and Hull win, they're out and Hull are in. I wouldn't count anything out this season.arana peligrosa wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 8:20 pmThey did beat Norwich by 7 - 1 early in a season some years back.

Leicester take the lead at Preston through a scrappy mis hit from Jamie Vardy.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Vardy scores his and Leicester’s second of the night. This must make him the most prolific goal scorer in the Championdhip with a goal scored every 99 minutes. By comparison our top/scorer ( MPG) is Nathan Broadhead with a goal every 187 minutes.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Won't get this time back but wasn't there a post here within last hour saying Leicester haven't won the league yet, seems to have vanished someplace. Sorry to p*ss on anyone's parade but fact is they now are. That's it, they got first place and we can't do it.
It's a pity. If not for dropped points not only last few weeks but other times throughout the season we may just - or would - have finished top and took the title but these things are contested over nine months and LCFC have themselves been guilty of missed opportunity and handing opponents wins and points so when and after it's all played out, they win the league and we haven't. These things kind of balance themselves out.
While a shame, think any Town fan being totally honest and rational wouldn't have expected to win the damn league back in August while the prospect of finishing second and auto promotion with two games to spare would have been at best, highly fanciful or way beyond fair reasoning.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Obviously from the lack of posts, nobody was interested in this match tonight. You missed a brilliant defensive performance from Dortmund…the video should probably be used as a lesson for defence.
It was a great match, and I can honestly say after Ipswich’s promotion I’m falling in love with football again. And, by watching this match I am able to assess our future opponents.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
You can call it plastic football, but the reality is there won’t be any Premier League teams competing in finals this year. Villa were the last hope and they’re down 5-2 on aggregate with one half to play. I don’t know about plastic, it seems a better description would be paper football. Looks good on paper…but??
