Saw a news item thought highly commendable. Former NCFC forward Grant Holt has participated in and finished a near 50 mile walk to raise cash and awareness for the East Anglian Children's Hospice.
Holt took off from Ipswich after dark and set off for Framingham, Norfolk. Achievement took him some 21 hours to complete. Arriving at finish Holt went on record to say he were looking forward to sampling a Chinese meal and resting / catching up on sleep.
All told this is something of a great story, kind of offers inspiration and can motivate others. Don't think any career as a Wrestler (you ain't no Mickey Rourke) came to anything, so putting effort to charity and good deed is far better suited. I didn't particularly like him as a player or the team associated but to trek around overnight on foot for 50 miles for the benefit of kids wellbeing is once again, commendable. It wasn't disclosed how much funds were raised however.

Re: Holt hike for hospice
Not the best viewing for attending Ipswich fans when Holt was wearing the yellowโฆโฆ.
โฆโฆ but a legend in the Edinburgh green. Scoring v the jambos. And mocking them later in the game.
Nice one Granty Boy

And nice achievement for the hospice. VERY well done.
