Must have been getting on with other stuff or something. Don't have no imperative necessity to keep track of game progress each or every time.
Caught highlights. Some could argue it were essentially a copy for the Leeds game but this time the score went our way. Don't know why some jackass feels the need to celebrate or run in front of our home support when scoring at PR, it's not the first time it's occurred this season and can only see the wrong in it. Other Rovers players at least had the decency to keep their distance but seems there's always one.
28,000 is real pleasing to see, we sell out the ground regularly now and we're experiencing the best times since the mid 2000's. After years and years of inept bullshit and unmitigated disaster we're once again a force to reckon with and established ourselves as a good side that's tough to beat and being able to challenge. Without McKenna and Game Changer this would not have been possible.
7 wins from 8 games is it and progress in Cup contest also. This would be commendable in a lower division but that we're doing it at a higher league you can only provide greater plaudits. Too early to mention possible promotion to the EPL but the way we've started you got to believe all things are possible.
Today's opponents last won something back in 2002, the year we were last a top level club name. Think Mark Hughes or Andrew Cole scored for them that day which only illustrates how long we've been away.

Speaking of Andrew Cole, (or Andy) …… makes me think of that guy who got his full thigh tattooed of Andy Cole in Newcastle attire…….. then Cole transferred to Manure the very next week.

He really showed how great he is. Going to be a great playerhallamblue wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 9:04 pmHe was so dangerous when he came in x as bd kept pinging great balls into the box but no one seemed capable of getting into the Box at that point to get on the end of them.smaltydude wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:54 pmHutchinson looked brilliant today. Loads of potential in him
Dane Scarlett disappointed me . He either has bugger all pace or is just plain lazy . Minimal true closing from from him and he’d only just come onto the pitch . The rest of the team clearly needing a breather at that point in the game so why wasn’t he putting it about more? I’ll be honest and say I wasn’t that impressed by him last season at Pompey. I think most of his goals came from the penalty spot. Hopefully McK will spin his magic .
That's understandable. Yes he was on for online for 19 minutes but he did show his weaknesses. I do hope McKenna does his magic and makes him a great player
