What a fabulous second goal which started with a brilliantly quick move from Hkadky under pressure at the back, about half s dozen passes down the left and a great finish by Conor Chaplin, absolutely fantastic.

What a player Chaplin is. Very composed finish that was.

3-0, Town are superb tonight. For me Hirst is the key. His link up play is superb

We have a 3 - 0 lead, joined any action late but this is real encouraging. Super start to the new season / higher league but promotion don't come after a handful of games. What attendance we got there.
Nice variation on scorers, it's always sign of a good team. Wish could be there, the fans have got to be enjoying it. Not sure how much of a threat the opposition are today, we seem to be (or are) in control of things.

Very impressive. The only modern day negative is the “manager vultures” will be circling around Portman Road.

I hope so No 9 as Boxing Day will be my first visit to Portman Road for a long time. Most of my live games over recent years have been away games.

i want more goals. It's coming to something when you're 3 - 0 ahead and top of a promoted league and hoping for more. It's kind of bizarre.
Feel sympathy for SWFC, they went to all that trouble to get a promotion with us and look likely to go back down at the first attempt. All right some don't like them but even so..
Additional time in our game, whatever there is, is immaterial. Real proud of the progress made, McKenna and the staff involved take all the superlatives going. Feels real good to be part of a club name going places once again.

It's looking more and more likely he'll take us up, make a good showing in the premier and then answer the call to sort the mess out at man u. We can't really complain and hopefully Ashton will have the right man to fill his shoes - like Brighton did when Potter went to Chelski.
In the meantime, what a ride we're having with this brilliant young coach. Happy days!

I’m really impressed with that win. We’ve got something special going on. Don’t worry, KM is not going anywhere. He has a good rapport with MA, and his family is settled in Suffolk. He’s young and has loads of time to move up if he chooses.

52 goals scored in our last 15 home games, how many more do you want AP ?

Awesome from Town . Just bloody outstanding every last one of them . I’m REALLY pleased that Woolfie and Edmundson paired so well tonight. They looked in total command throughout the game and totally different to how they were as a CB pair when McKenna first came here!
A totally unselfish display from Hirst and Harness tonight … running running running all night.
Can anyone stop us ???

Hope you’re both bang on the money with this. He’s the best since SBR. (In my opinion)

I wish I felt as confident about McKenna staying 9. He is such a talent a few clubs will already have him on their radar.

Get the impression we steamrolled them but stats suggest it were a much even contest. Possession and chances about equal. Guess we made the most of our play and took opportunities that came our way, and they didn't. Sometimes hard to ascertain facts when you're not there.
3 - 0 win and thought a draw could come to pass. Some praise from the Pink Un'' and nothing real disingenuous. I think honest fans rising above any animosity accept or realize we are in fact a very good team right now. Too early to suggest or hope but we got a real chance of promotion back to the top league in what will be 21, 22 years. This start HAS to breed continued confidence.

100%, Saint. Only injuries (or Morsy suspensions) can shake the confidence foundations.
They’re all massively confident at this moment in time.
