Yep, and there were a couple of meltdowns after that Leeds game

But in all seriousness………. Regarding that Leeds game; come on, Kieron, get yer act together, son.

That works out at 2.58 points per game, which over a 46 game season is 119pts. Terrifying really.

I compared McKenna's stats to the poor sods that had to deal with Evans. To make it a bit fairer I used McKenna's points per game since he started and still had some clearing up to do. It looked a bit lopsided, so I added 3 Ipswich legends for more context, which helped a little, but it shows just what a job he has done. Of course there are full stories behind every tenure, it's a bit apples and oranges, but it's the best you can do with stats to paint a picture...

Paul Hurst may be bottom of that pile…….. but both Roy Keane & Paul Lambert are the only two that bring about a borderline “bad mood face” ! Man, those two were unreal.

Hard to hate a man who wasn't around long enough for the taxi to turn its engine off.

Yes agreed, I actually have no opinion at all re Paul Hurst....., and if there was some feeling, it'd be more "feeling sorry" really. He was thrown into the deep end of a completely hypothetical fantasy of a "5 point plan" ......., from Shrewsbury to Rio ticket scams......, he had no chance.

Keane said he'd get promo in one year after punting Rhodes & signing the worst striker in Hungary....

.... and Paul Lambert was hearing phantom voices in pressers. He was actually more annoying than Keane. IMO of course.

Took a moment to think back how long was Ramsey actually manager here and came up blank. Memory's not always what it once was but you got Robson like 12, 13 years, Burley 7 or 8 et cetera. Trying to put in context McKenna's only been with us what 18 months / less than 2 years so can't really make comparisons with more illustrious / long-term names we've had in place over years back. Biggest question of all and one you can't quite answer being how much further in the future is McKenna going to manage the club. Not for the previous times specified, it can't progress that far.

Thought Keane was OK. Big (in retrospect misleading) hype and awareness but as a standalone individual he were an upstanding individual. Pity is his managerial tenure here was a disaster and the start of years of absolute decline, (came in) around about when Evans took over, possibly a year or two after.

Not always pleasant to relive those times back because it were a f**king shambles, the rot went on and cascaded for years and beyond but point being it did occur. Not always easy to just overlook these things. Left a number of scars and then some.

Bottom line here it took what 7 or 8 managerial appointments say after Joe Royle to finally hit a right note. Some 15 years wasted and a multitude of damage inflicted in the time stated. McKenna is amazing, what he's accomplished in such short spell of time is beyond remarkable but until he's fulfilled further seasons here and put in substantial years (which he won't) say again not always easy to compare one name with another.
