Great news for us!

Wonder if Jack Taylor is secretly a bit gutted?

I'm pleased too, I hate all these international non event matches tbh.

He should. He doesn't even get in the team anyway

He won't make the final cut, pretty certain.

ML’s decision massively in our favour! Must be difficult for any player to voluntarily decide on international retirement. Better, though, to do so on his terms, rather than waiting for a call that no longer comes. Served his country with distinction.

SM’s a wait and see. Egypt have announced a huge initial squad - wonder how gutted Sam would be if he didn’t make the final cut? At 32 his international days maybe becoming fewer; although Egypt must have a slack handful of outstanding midfielders in the queue ahead of him.

Burgess (Oz) and Baggott (Indoamensia) are also likely to be called up. Might influence KM’s thinking on inbound defender come January, given Tuanzabee’s cautious first team integration.
