Williams ill again according to KMc 🤔
Yeah right, what a crock of sh*te.
That’s a rather bizarre comment Mike, I mean how many people on this planet choose to be ill ? I can only assume you just don’t like the bloke.
Andy, you've commented yourself that something isn't right, he's not continually ill, the truth will hopefully come out one day.

Isn’t the 4th round on the weekend of 27th…..we have Rotherham then and I’ve got my ticket - assume it will be rearranged now?
Will probably be moved to a Tuesday night

Yes I think you’re right - damm! Getting up for midweek games is not easy for me.

It certainly feels like something isn’t right but I’d have thought it would have surfaced by now or maybe McKenna would have decided to send him back but to date there appears to be nothing substantive.
I guess we have to just trust the boss and accept maybe he is ill although being ill can be far reaching. Your comment, “Yea right etc…. “ suggests you think either McKenna or more likely Williams is lying ?

Remember there is physically ill and mentally ill, he could be struggling with a gambling problem and therefore mentally unwell. Something is clearer effecting his performances.

Very very good point shabba. And spot on , I don’t think you’re far off the truth there tbh … he’s a great player but something has changed / happened hasnt it

Fine, but if it's even remotely serious he should be away from the squad for a sustained period and able to recover in this own time without pressure and attention.

So either the club is getting it very wrong if it is a serious situation (which I doubt in this day and age), or its not that serious, but then that begs the question... what the hell is going on? He's young, he shouldn't be struck down with 3 seperate illnesses severe enough to keep him away.

Exactly Shabba. In my opinion the guy is the best full back currently in our squad but his current level of performance isn’t supporting that view. I just wonder if some of this might be linked to loneliness living away from home or getting involved in inappropriate behaviours and yes that could be gambling. He certainly wouldn’t br the first professional footballer to go down this route. Whatever it is it’s clearly a problem that’s affecting his performance.

Probably best to wish him a full and speedy recovery from whatever his illness is. The club will, as for all staff, give him full spport.

Forgot to ask, how did Sarmiento look when he came on?

I copied the whole thing:

Jeremy Sarmiento made his debut for Ipswich Town in their 3-1 win at AFC Wimbledon yesterday as they progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The 21-year-old winger joined the Blues on loan from Brighton last Wednesday and came on as a 57th minute sub for what was an exciting cameo.

READ MORE: Stuart Watson's match verdict

Sarmiento showed glimpses of what he is all about as every time he got on the ball he wanted to take on his defenders and make things happen.

Here's what Town fans had to say about his first appearance for the club...

Given he's been at the club two days and doesn't know the lads or their set up, thought it was excellent and a great benchmark of what we can expect
— Lizzibee (@LizBeighton) January 6, 2024
Looked promising, didn’t always release the ball when he should have. Progressive dribbler though 👍🏻
— Cameron B (@CameronLeonB) January 6, 2024
Lively start to his Ipswich tenure. Had plenty of space to shine, so will be interesting to see how he does against more physical teams and the faster pace of the Championship. Excited to see him in action.
— DaveO (@daveoitfc) January 6, 2024
Did well, what I liked was that he released the ball when he thought others had space, not overly selfish but clearly good in possession, early days but promising start.
— Simon stanmore (@stanmsimon) January 6, 2024
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Nice start
— Wozza (@WozzaJ74) January 6, 2024
Nice work today. Injected some pace and direct running to our midfield when on and Linked well with others. Look forward to seeing you next week at PR.
— Ben Prickett (@prickettboy3) January 6, 2024
It’s really good to see a player that runs with the ball for us. Adds something a bit different to our game. 👏
— Benno (@Benno1uk) January 6, 2024
great debut dribbling and running at defenders . I look forward to you tearing it up and hopefully get us promoted to the promised land . uppa the town
