You need to keep in mind it’s a “Town 11”. Whenever this happens there’s rarely continuity and fluency of play. You have players out of position not having had many minutes in competitive situations. They will be off the pace in every aspect of their game.

I’m just catching up after golf as there was no tv coverage.
It would appear we pretty much controlled the game and won comfortably in the end which is more than satisfactory. To be honest I expected them to play a full strength side and give us a good run for our money,

Always nice to be in the hat for the 4th Round draw, hopefully either an easy game at home if there is such a thing or one of the big boys and a good day out.

Were unable to follow game progress but predicted before time a 3 - 1 win for us, and so it came to pass. Sometimes I got pretty good instinct. Piecing together relevant information from the game but first thought, maybe we struggled at times and it could have gone either way. Maybe we were simply better than them and victory was never really in much doubt but just relieved to have made it through and avoided a first hurdle exit.

McKenna reading now, put out a strong team and went for it. That deserves applause if not respect. Years back with other managers we wouldn't seem to bother or content to fall at first attempt but not always easy to look back on a time in fact quite recent where the club name were in disarray or picked off with ease.

Pity is, we got the attributes and in-depth strength when everyone is fit and available to really go far in this years competition but Fulham in the League Cup taught a lesson you can only expect too much. Not only that promotion has to be the primary and only true objective for the team this season. Going far in this here F.A. Cup would be all mighty fine but fans maybe could take a moment to question how much does one really expect out of it.
