The whole thing stinks. You can bet if we slightly go over what we are allowed to spend then we will have the book thrown at us. TBH although I’m delighted for Town to be back in the top flight this yet again shows what is wrong with the game today.

And it's one reason why I hate the bloody Premier league, a very large part of me would be overjoyed if it collapsed.

But that’s exactly what’s been happening to other clubs isn’t it Tony. But not man city or Chelsea for some reason!

Its why there is a draft system in the AFL & NFL........, avoids all this pish.

I keep saying that the Premier League will eat itself. Seems the starter has been served! Great civilisations throughout history all thought they would never end (Romans, Inca's etc) - the PL thinks its riches will never run out...

Yep. That is how it "basically" works. I put inverted commas on that because it is a complicated system but it is quite an easy and 100% fair system.

Top 3 richest clubs in the AFL........, after 12 games of the current 23 game season, --->> 2 of those 3 clubs and near the bottom of the table. West Coast Eagles and the Richmond Tigers.

Both get low draft picks for several years and so the cycle continues. The "TALENT" comes from producing a winning formula from what you are essentially allowed to pick up through draft picks.
It would be like MAN CITY only being able to pick up guys like Keiffer Moore but they have the supposed guru in PEP to guide to the championships!!

Not so in the "soccer" ....., The Sevco Rangers / Celtic and the EPL buy the talent and it is all a huge farce in truth.

I reckon you could've put PEP in charge at Birmingham City last season and they'd STILL have been relegated. It is all about buying the success.

Thing is it looks like other PL clubs are backing MC’s stance here. I can only assume, that the legal action is found in favour of MC its setting precedent for all other Clubs to follow suit.

The Sky funded PL is finally on a downward trajectory I think. It’ll self combust at some point and the so called big 5 will sod off to an European Super League I think. Can’t come soon enough for me.
