Nah, it's a back injury from carrying all that extra wedge he's got in his wallet!

Jammy / lucky scum again. Two of their three " goals " came from a ball out of play...this was the first one.

Says a lot about them that they need goals like this to beat a recently promoted league one outfit. Take Sargent out of their team, and they're struggling.

Chelsea are certainly looking the real deal under Maresca! I fear another loss when we play them.

They have surprised me. I had Maresca down as the first managerial casualty!

I’m not sure why his pedigree is pretty impressive especially his time at Manchester City developing their elite squad.

They were near total disarray when last checked them out. Must have been some summer at Stamford Bridge as imagined they were equipped for a relegation battle only a few months back. Said it before and once again Manchester United appear in trouble, 50 years back they were a lower league team and anyone (who) thinks they could never return or go back, they're a mess.
Somehow won a trophy end of last season. Guess all things are possible out there but in retrospect, how the hell did they pull that off.

The trouble is Southampton have some very good players so I don't think we want them to sack Martin but 3-0 now so it might not be long in coming.
Other news Slicker has signed a new 4 year contract.

Aaron Ramsdale must be happy with his move from Arsenal is it a loan ? I seem to think it was a permanent.

I kind of feel sorry for Martin, I mean Southampton do play some good football at times. Not a fan of his at all, but it just goes to show how ruthless the Premier League can be.

They play a lot of pointless possession in their own defending 1/3 but can never see
( especially last season), what all the fuss was, about them. They look pretty ordinary tonight ...I am annoyed now we didn't take our chances against them in that first 25 mins when they couldnt get out of their own18 yard area.

I think his (Martin) problem is he still wants to play the high possession game from last season (currently 53.2% tonight) and does not seem to have much of a plan B. Whereas KM is able to adjust according to opponent. Also his in-game management has changed - gone are the rip-roaring you score we'll score days, instead a calmer weather the storm approach is becoming more apparent. I see it is now 3-1! A Saints comeback on? Probably not!

Czn anyone tell me what Flynn Downes offers Saints? Coz all I see is him following the ball around the pitch, taking frequent short touches, but not really doing anything of note, creating, winning the ball back, breaking up playing, surging forward etc....

He is very pedestrian to me. A solid championship midfielder but never going to change the world in the Prem in my view

He looks like HE thinks he's something special, but for me I hink he's gone backwards since he's left us. Going through the motions, strutting about. . And as for being their captain, lol

Downes was excellent last season in the Championship, he really made them tick, clearly he's not made the step up as yet but I guess when a team is struggling collectively as much as they are then nobody is gonna shine. They look pretty doomed to me with Arsenal up next then Leicester and Manchester City, lose to Leicester and its goodnight Vienna.

I see he's been slagging off his players in the media. Always a sign that a manager hasn't got long. Arsenal away next is a free pass, but fail to beat Leicester at home after that and he's gone imo. But yeah we'd rather he stayed

What a howler of a keeper error by Leeds United keeper Meslier to gift Sunderland an added time equaliser.
You will definitely have to see this to believe it.

You wonder just how many times Ian Porterfield or Jim Montgomery is mentioned every time they play each other. Always thought the latter's save that day was just maybe the best example of goalkeeping ever. Better than Banks in Mexico. It's surreal each time you can view it.

Even worse for him it was the last kick of the match on 90+7 and prevented Leeds from going top of the table. Had he caught the ball which would have been easier than not, the referee would have blown the whistle to end the game.
I hope for his sake Leeds don’t miss out on promotion this season by 2 points or less.

Looked deliberate to me, snd then to be laughing after the full time whistle.
