I went to Spurs.......
Hi all,
Been a bit hectic lately so not posted much. Anyway........my neighbour has some sort of Premium season ticket for Spurs and invited me last week for the AZ game, I hadn't been to the stadium so was keen to check it out.
MY WORD........talk about different level, it was very impressive! It felt HUGE coming up to the ground, and as you go inside it was spotless, like a Dubai shopping mall. Loads of bars and places to eat, it did feel a bi corporate and lacked that charm you get with older grounds.
Inside the bowl it again felt very high end, huge screens etc. I had good seats so the view was fab, you felt close to the pitch etc, and the large single tier stand was really cool. The atmosphere was OK, music etc a bit cheesy though with the glory glory song
It just overall felt SO far from Portman Road, ligthyears ahead etc, but it probably would to alot of grounds. However it was missing that history, that charm etc.

I guess it would feel the same compared with at least half the stadiums of clubs currently playing in the Premier League including a few of the big clubs, eg Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United and Villa etc.

Haha indeed, the trophy room must be like one of the toilet cubicles.
The free food was good, drinks were had to pay for but were very reasonably priced (surprisingly), oddly then free during half time - and free cake after.
Getting into the rail station after was far from ideal though due to the huge queue.
Dread how much it costs ! I guess you can sell it back for most games as they probably sell out for league matches etc.
I see the town hospitality prices have rocketed now though, and a couple more options added now those new boxes are built.

Haven't we won the league more recently than them i.e. been champions of England after they last did it. Don't see now what they get up to much, always be an admirer of the outstanding team of the 1960's with Greaves, White, Jones, Blanchflower, MacKay etc but the squads since then just haven't provided the same enthralment or excitement to view.
