And down we go. I'd quite like this season to end now. What a pathetic division, the three promoted teams essentially relegated before March.

You don't drop Delap, its that simple, I know you love Hirst but he's not on the same planet, as most of the football world would say.hallamblue wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 8:12 pmWell Delap needs to take the chances when they present thrn doesn't he. Had he done his job on Sat v Spurs we probably would have won.
He runs out of steam after 30 mins and / or gets marked out of the gzne. But will one trick pony McKenna adapt his approach? Of course not.
McKenna is the f**king idiot, not me Bluemike!
I see he's continuing with waste of spaces Philogene and J Clarke. Great. Tonight we have a real chance of winning and one trick pony doesn't adapt... doesn't spring an element of surprise. idiot.
Delap is full of power and running and it looks great while it lasts. If he scores, brilliant, but when the run, eye balls out, directly at defenders, ignoring other forwards around him doesn't work what then?

I normally agree regarding Philogene, not been impressed until tonight but he's not been a waste of space tonight, been our best player believe it or not.hallamblue wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 8:12 pmWell Delap needs to take the chances when they present thrn doesn't he. I'm not sure how my tv set is still in one piece, those bloody sky? Commentators are so bloody biased it's untrue.
Not sure why it took 5 mins to decide that's a straight red. What the hell has the game come to!!
For me Hutch has been our best player. He works so hard and constantly wins the ball back for his team

I'm not saying drop him. I'm saying play him at a different point in the game where he'd cause nsyhem. He doesn't hold the ball up ( man Utds 2nd goal came from him failing to hold the ball up)... he also us too blinkered when he gets the ball. SOMETIMES he needs to lay it off.... he dynamic and powerful which catches the eye.Bluemike wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 9:25 pmYou don't drop Delap, its that simple, I know you love Hirst but he's not on the same planet, as most of the football world would say.hallamblue wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 8:12 pmWell Delap needs to take the chances when they present thrn doesn't he. How quickly people forget just what influence Hirst had on this team ...he goes out i cured and none of the other forwards scored a goal again. He brings people into play. Delap doesnt ( yet).
I'm not saying one is better than the other. What I am saying is Hirst offers something far different, and brings others into the attack.
Since those early mins, what has Delap offered?

We've got the extra man , but not that you'd know it the way were playing. Far too, pedestrian. Zero balls into the box

Re: Premier League - Manchester United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Just woke up to peep at the score and shocked to see it’s 3-2. It sounds like we had a good first half and gave them a fright but we’ve faded away ? It also sounds like our defending has been shocking losing 3 goals to set pieces?
Hope Hutch is ok, a straight red these days for the home team usually means it must have been a pretty reckless tackle. I liked the line up as I believe Hutchinson, Clarke & Philogene are our future but I was surprised to see Sam restored to the starting line up and hope he’s played well.
Disappointed that we’ve fell away in the second half as surely 2-2 at half time we should be really having a go at them.
I can only follow commentary on Sky and live in hope that we can find a third goal against the run of play.

The best time to play Utd. Low on confidence, at each other's throats, down to 10 men, and STILL we barely kay a glove on them. Zero attacking threat... minimal balls into the box. Zero hold up play .... the experience left onnthe bench until 80 + mins by our manager.
One trick pony finishes the game with the front line he should have started with. f**king clueless
