Didn't we sign him recently? Seems to ring a bell.

Having seen that lineup glad I’ve stayed at home. Hope I’m wrong but have a feeling that the off button on the remote might be used earlier than normal tonight.

The 17-year-old has been at Town since the age of 10 and became a full academy player last summer, signing a two-year-scholarship and has been a regular for the U18s in the past two seasons.
Taylor is an intelligent midfielder, who can play all across the midfield or up front, and has progressed into the U21s this season.

Does anyone know how reserve that Forest team is? I'm shamefully ignorant about them - literally the only player I know is Chris Wood

I believe Delap is one booking away from a two match ban so it would be nice if he's not needed, well I can dream

It's not just the striker, O'Shea and Greaves not in, Johnson instead of Philogene? I just think we could have been a lot stronger to give it a real go and give the fans something from this awful season.
Hopefully they go out now and prove me wrong but I can't see it.

No reason why it shouldn't be a decent battle with that line-up. If Tuanzebe and Woolf can avoid being Laurel & Hardy in parts of the game, should be close.

Forest look strong to me with only 5 of the weakened side that started against Exeter in the last round included.

I was sorting of hoping they might want to concentrate on the league and consolidate their champions league place. I guess they fancy a bit of the cup too

Elanga and Hudson-Odoi will need to be tightly marked and Aina is a threat down the wing too.
Nice to see we’ve started well and have lots of pace on the bench.
This could be quite evenly balanced if we’re up for it.

Crazy passing that was Liz, almost cost us going a goal behind.

To be fair to the boys possession is fairly even and we have had the only shot on target so far. That said Forest do look more threatening than we do.

Way more threatening, they move it around at pace. Morsey is so slow

It feels like just a matter of time before Forest score. Town have absolutely no continuity in plsy, minimal midfield service to the forwards or cover in front of a three mam defence.
We look SO slow!

Re: FA Cup (R5) - Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Gone much better than expected, we just have nothing going forward, as commentators said Morsy and Luongo with plenty of ball but no movement ahead of them. I actually thought Morsy looked much better tonight, Taylor done nothing and the front Two ineffective.
We can do this if we make the right changes, I'd have Cajuste on for Taylor or Luongo and Delap on for Broadhead. We had a couple of scary moments at the back but by and large defended ok.

Midfield is definitely the primary issue. But it affects both front line service and defensive protection.
We look a poor side ( I won't say " team" ,because with 8 changes yet again by McKenna. It isn't a team, it's an eleven)

I think Ipswich have made more changes than Forest, and they're a 3rd placed EPL side. Got think that labelling a massively changed ITFC side "poor" isn't very good. Come on, Hallam!! They're weathering the storm. Could sneak this.hallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 9:27 pmMidfield is definitely the primary issue. But it affects both front line service and defensive protection.

Re: FA Cup (R5) - Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
We’ve defended well but that’s about it, but as long as we stop them scoring there’s always a chance we can steal it on the break. Good performances from Tuanzebe and Townsend but as others have said our midfield looks laboured and lacking in pace however we have plenty of that on the bench.
If we can hold them for 60 mins I think it will be time for Cajuste, Jack Clarke, Philogene and Delap to come on, maybe Taylor too.

Can only assume Axel has a knock to be coming off.
Luingo needs to be pulled, not up to it at this level
