f*ck it.
Hate penalty contests, can't stand the goddamn things. Think just what happened there illustrates exactly why.
Think about now they need to find another way to settle a tied game in cup competition, it's just too much when you lose.
Maybe we wouldn't have won at Brighton in Round Six, kind of academic now. Forest can have their victory, it's probably about as far they go also, they're not going to win the F'ing thing. Disappointment right now to get so near to what might have been.

I've just seen that Jack Clarke scored from all the 5 pens he took last season.

Just watched the LOWlights from last night on video in Hanoi Vietnam, and apart from Morsys shot and Hirsts goal it was all Forest 🫣

Oh well, that's over for another year.
First half was dire - if we play like that we will definitely go down and deservedly so.
Rest of the game, at least we tried - can't fault the players for effort. What I can fault them for is their extremely poor passing - how many times during the game did our passes go behing the man, even when passing sideways and backwards? No wonder we are so slow in going forward, the players are constantly having to go backwards to get the ball. Obviously this is not being worked on enough in training, and it's basic skills.
9 very good penalties, and one absolutely crap one - I could have farted the ball harder than Taylor struck it.

Re: FA Cup (R5) - Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Last night once again demonstrates how little we can offer as an attacking force at this level. We are SO physically and athletically behind the average PL outfits its painful to watch really isn't it .
I cant fault our effort . We were dogged and resilient in our approach last night, that's true. But we offered little else of a threat to Forest if the truth be known. and this has been the case for most games this season.
Going forward into next season (for this should be our focus now : I cant honestly see us staying up, We need careful planning around the squad's ongoing development . We are definitely WIP ) and ALL areas need reviewing, but most urgently our Midfield and likely Strike force. We are top heavy in #10's . We cant play them all so FGS offload some of the. Don't buy (Szmodics) or have (Broadhead) players if you don't intend to use them regularly Mcknena . Whats the point of it!
We do need to be brutal in the summer as to who we release. Ill leave you lot to start that list .

Re: FA Cup (R5) - Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
That's what Darren Bent was saying last night, we rely too much on Delap and he can't do it all, he said other players need to step up and share the responsibility, clearly others either don't score goals or even create anything, we seem adverse to crossing the damn ball into the box, what chance does any striker have ? Doesn’t matter if it's Delap, Hirst, Mariner or Kane, with poor service and support your opportunities are limited cus you're living off scraps. That's why Delaps goal return in his first season in the Premier League is incredible, and why we only have him for another 11 games.
