Week 30 - Results & Tables

Every week there will be a series of fixtures (or questions) for you to predict the results of. This will be a perfect chance for you to show how much you know about football (or how little) and prove that you are the smartest Ipswich fan. The 2020/21 season will feature the Main Competition including a repeat of last years Promotion/Relegation format and the popular addition of the 'Head to Head' Competition. We will also play for the coveted TB Cup which will commence in January 2021, which is based on the FA Cup!

Nic is still technically a newlywed. I’m sure the missus has said if you keep supporting Ipswich, I’ll leave you.

Nic, If it helps I’ve posted next weeks fixtures early as I know you’re usually one of the first with your predictions. I’ve been holding them back a few days to try to avoid overload and confusion, hope this didn’t contribute to you missing this round. Fortunately it’s been a low scoring week.

Thanks Bud. I always try to get them posted early as i dont work Fridays ( slowly trying to move to retire...). This week i just had a ball ache thursday and friday with personal stuff, so this just went to the back of the queue.
Its not like i am in contention to win anything, but i am keen to keep doing the predictions so i dont let the game down for anyone.
Cheers
Nick

WOW! Just noticed that.

Seriously....... What are the odds of a 9-9 draw in the 9 derby? That's actually incredible what we achieved here, buddy. THOUSANDS to one on that happening.

Yeah, we'll be on Unsolved Mysteries next...

Intro: Bagpipes in the distance as aerials of a company van with the back doors open reveal a close up of leathery, old fingers counting rawl plugs.
Cut: Close up of water boiling on a stove and cutting to a close up of hands placing eggs in a bowl.
Dissolve: Close up of paper-ticker flashing with the number 9 printed on all the pages.

Narrator-The 9s fixture of 2021 on Tractor-Boys.com is still being written in the history books as a phenomenon yet to reveal any explanation of events that day.

Host-"At what point did you both realise the 9s phenomenon?"
Marko-"Aye it were a dreich morning...gray skies and a cold mist enveloped what began as a optimistic day. I cannae remember exactly what I was doing, but I was probably counting rawl plugs in the van and that's when it dawned on me I hadn't done my predictions."
Number 9-"I was drinking my morning coffee trying to decide on fried or scrambled eggs for breakfast...when I noticed the posted 9 derby. I hadn't slept well the night before as I kept waking up from a recurring dream. All I could remember was that monotone voice...number 9, number 9, number 9...and the waking urge to dig out my Beatles collection."
Host-"Marko, why do you think you forgot to do the predictions? Is that like you?"
Marko-"Naw it's very unusual indeed for me! I'm usually oan it!...the first predictor as they say!"
Host-"Number 9, do you think an unconscious anxiety was brewing in your sleep due to the upcoming 9 fixture?"
Number 9-"Well I think now that may have been the case. Especially concerning was the fact I chose egg and soldiers for breakfast...which is very unlike me."
Host-"How do you both feel now knowing you've participated in probably the most unusual score for a prediction league fixture?"
Marko-"We have to go on...There's naw turning back now. 9 and I will forever be bonded by this miraculous occasion. Maybe there's hope for both us winning the bloody thing!"
Number 9-"I'm stunned that I didn't win to be honest, but I now realise the skills of Marko are certainly on an even keel. Also, from now on my lucky number will be 9...so if you're a gambler you should put your money on 9s."
