Week 33 - Results & Tables

Every week there will be a series of fixtures (or questions) for you to predict the results of. This will be a perfect chance for you to show how much you know about football (or how little) and prove that you are the smartest Ipswich fan. The 2020/21 season will feature the Main Competition including a repeat of last years Promotion/Relegation format and the popular addition of the 'Head to Head' Competition. We will also play for the coveted TB Cup which will commence in January 2021, which is based on the FA Cup!

Well done, Charnwood....., well done, 9, ...., nice score.

Few upsets amongst that lot in the final H2H fixture list pre play-off. Hallam with the upset of the round maybe?

Thanks Marko, that was a great game which to and fro’d throughout and went to the wire. I thought I was in for a big score until Chelsea scored in the 94th minute which cost Azzurro, Welly and myself 8 points each. But hey, what’s costly for some was a bonus for others and that late goal added 8 points for No 9 and Hallam, No9 already had his game won but that goal definitely won it for Hallam against Frosty.

As you say, some upsets in that final round with only Blue Wilf from the Top 6 winning his game, and Todd scamming 3 points with his Bye with a score that wouldn’t have won a single game in this weeks fixtures.

Very well done No9 edging out Azzuromark ( hard luck mate 🥲) at the final hurdle to take 6th place and make into the KO stages that I think will commence Week 36, after this weekends TB Cup QF and next weeks International Round.

H2H has been a great contest this season with some surprise results, not least from its founder Bluemike who fluffed his lines again in his final game v Lucy to end the season bottom of his own table. We’ll all bar Ando 🤣🥲😮

Useless f**king competition!!! 🤣🤣

On a serious note very well done to the top Six for making the play off stages, especially Blue Wilf for topping the table and in doing so cementing his place in the grand final, that is exactly what this competition was devised for, wilf bloody sh*te in the main table but king of the pile in this cup !!!! Lmao. For me that makes it a huge success.

Could Blue Wilf be the new favourite for the TB Cup. This weekend is the Quarter Finals and Wilf is in great form.

Only No 9 stands between Wilf and the Semi Finals, but No 9 is also in great shape, Wilf v No 9 must be the Tie of the round which also sees Tang v Frosty and myself v Frosty.

Nic v Azzurro make up the final game which based on the latest table mean 7 of the top 8 players make up the QF’s plus 14th place Wilf.

Although it made little difference in my H2H;, along with that Chelsea goal, Nsiala's last gasp header on target cost me another 5 points! Those extra points would have been very useful in my late charge for a top 6 finish in the individual League, as well cement my lead in League 1, in what has been a cracking March for me, prior to this latest round.

Congratulations No9 (and the other top 6 finishers too). for sneaking in last minute. Wishing you all the very best going forward. At least I can concentrate on the TB cup quarterfinal this weekend now :D

Cracking march to the Premier, Azz?

We'll wave on the way down! 👋👋👋

Pathetic season but the team are going to clutch at every straw available. Missed 4 weeks and the av score is 13. That's 52 extra points putting team M69 in between Lucy & Kerry in the only contest that really matters; the individual.

But still over 100 points behind Team Tang...... So FK IT, an absolute diabolical season.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Mike! I am pacing myself so as not to appear a threat via the main competition...

BTW - surely the H2H league should stop now to avoid spreading covid or something...?!

The H2H League has done exactly that Wilf, this was the last round of the League Phase of the competition and we now move into the knock out stages. To win this Competition you only have to win one more game which will be when you meet the Winner of those players in 2nd, 3rd 4th 5th & 6th places. This Comp is really there for the taking.

I'm just happy I moved back ahead of Frosty in the league. I'll be whistling 'God Defend New Zealand' all day.

Charnwood you should pat yourself on the back mate. I think you've proven numerous times you're the best at this competition. You were at the bottom of the league earlier and look where you are now!

Marko you went on an amazing run, and then you just lost a bit of steam. Sorry for the knockout AZ... Don't worry I won't be far behind.

Can’t pat myself on the back for anything this season No 9, it’s been a shocker with only a random decent score but not very often. I think if I looked back this is probably my lowest score ever after 33 weeks and about 60 points less than at the same stage last season. All I can hope for like a few others is to win the TBCup, but even that’s a difficult call with no consistency. Just like Ipswich Town, there’s always next season.
