Week 45 - Results & Tables (The Final Week)

Every week there will be a series of fixtures (or questions) for you to predict the results of. This will be a perfect chance for you to show how much you know about football (or how little) and prove that you are the smartest Ipswich fan. The 2020/21 season will feature the Main Competition including a repeat of last years Promotion/Relegation format and the popular addition of the 'Head to Head' Competition. We will also play for the coveted TB Cup which will commence in January 2021, which is based on the FA Cup!

Very well done Tang, you've dominated the table virtually all season and thoroughly deserve the victory, good to see a new name added to the illustrious list of winners. Defending it next season is much harder !! Good luck 👍

Congratulations Tang, our Champion Predictor 2021 and thoroughly deserved too with a more than 50 points gap to your closest rival. Well done Bluemike with a late rally to pick up the League Trophy which I had my eye on.
Thanks to everyone for playing, this really has been one of our best seasons ever with very few drop outs and 14 of our 16 starters still there on the final day and very few missed entries along the way.

Cheers Andy, I thought when you got the MOTD result correct that it was gonna slip away but thankfully my decent end of season form continued to see me hang on, nice to end the season with something to show for it.

Well done to all of our winners. Really impressive stuff from Tang, a consistently strong performance all season. After an indifferent start for a couple of our big hitters in Mike and Andy, you have both been like a Phoenix Rising (see what i did there? ) and grabbing some honours yourselves. Indeed with a better start the top of the individual league would have been a very tight affair.

Thank you for all of the very hard work you guys put into this. Hopefully a couple of newbies will join us next season to give the competition the bigger numbers your efforts deserve. As for myself, after missing the previous season, i will eagerly anticipate the start of next season's competition. This season has been one of mid-table mediocrity, with perhaps March being my purple patch. Perhaps preparation (or lack of) is key here, but certainly something to aim for next season is a top half finish :D .

Nicsreamer, 35 points and no promotion. Wow, that's a tough one to take, dude. Great final day score. And well done on PL survival Lucy...... That's what you were aiming for so well done on that.

Congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to all the no good losers. Officially team M69 finishes 12th....... Unofficially 8th, just under you Lucy, but don't get too excited ---->> its unofficial.
610 ➗ 45 = weekly average of 13.5 x 4 missing weeks due to family medical issues = 54......., unofficial 664.

And take the opportunity to say now that I'll not be taking part next season, but hope to join the season after. (Hopefully that'll get you promoted Nics!)
Main reason is for H2H competition. I have T1 diabetic daughter due baby mid November this year and things can get complicated. So, using hindsight properly here, my mind will be on other things towards October / November / Festive season and I'll miss weeks, screwing up the H2H......... And not to mention doing annoying as F U C K calculated average scores with unofficial final table standings......., (see above  )

FTR, tuppence ha'penny opinion........., the pre-season bonuses were exciting. They're a decent and exciting addition to the comp. No idea why they were missed out but try and bring those back. I got 40 points last season....... fuckn hell, if repeated, that would've been up to an unofficial 704! Effectively pushing Lucy off, and climbing on top of Frosty.

It’s ok. He loves it.

Marko, if you wanna take part mate we can just omit you from the H2H comp, it wouldn't affect anything then, up to you mate.

As for the pre season questions, I bloody hated them lol, half the people don't post which ruins it for me, add to that I think the winner should be from 45 weeks, not getting lucky with cup winners etc but that's just my opinion on it.

Yes, I see your point. People throughout the season missing weeks but then picking up 40 or 50 points? I have to assume though, (because of myself) that people will miss weeks due to something else completely taking their mind off everything. And as pre season questions are still “predicting”, then it was decent in my opinion. And indeed a chance for those who did miss weeks to maybe recoup.
That’s not a bad idea though. Play the main league & trophy, but omit the H2H & TB Cup. 👍
That’d be perfect if that wasn’t screwing things up.
Hopefully more numbers join.

Yes - well done to the winners and a big thanks to Charnwood and Mike as it must be a bit of a ball aching job to do all of the calculating each week. It was fun and looking forward to next season. Enjoy a few weeks off now guys! 👍
